Missing Face ID
on January 8, 2022

This is a great device overall, and I'm enjoying all but one new feature. I traded in a Pixel 4XL and enjoyed the face ID feature but missed the fingerprint ID feature on my previous Pixel 2XL, especially due to COVID masking. With the Pixel 6 Pro, I now have the fingerprint ID, with the bonus of a more convenient location. However, I've lost the face ID feature which allowed immediate activation upon picking up the device without a mask. If Windows can accommodate both features, why can't Google?

I had to upgrade due to a cracked screen on my pixel 5 and it was a great choice. I love the big screen and all the new camera features.

Not what I expected. :(

I have had all the Pixels since the beginning until Pixel 5 (downgrade from Pixel 4XL). I now have the Pixel 6 Pro and it's the worst iteration of any Pixel I have had. I don't know if it's the hardware or Android 12, but I've had nothing but problems from day 1. Migrating my data caused the phone to be in an infinite boot loop and had to return phone for new device. It happened again with the new phone and had to quickly upgrade Google Services before it tried to reboot to stop from boot loop hell. The screen is WAY too sensitive causing tons of accidental clicks. When I have WIFI connected, it often will disconnect from 5g/lte with an exclamation point and unless I'm looking at the phone and notice so that I can reboot, I don't get any messages or calls. If I keep it on 5g/lte and no wifi, battery life quickly drains. And it is the slowest phone to charge that I've had in years and I have adaptive charging turned off. It's 2022 and what Google thinks is fast charging is laughable.

Honestly the best pixel phone yet, possibly the best overall Android

This is such an amazing and genuine representation of what Android and Google are all about. Yeah, for sure there are issues with the phone that I'm sure Google will resolve with updates but out of the box, BEST possible experience.

The first device I received there was so many issues and bugs... I was issued a replacement and it is exactly what I was expecting a phenomenal experience... The phone is good and great. It's not perfect... But thanks for making my situation right....

After a couple of weeks of using the 6 it seems to have a bunch of bugs. I read that Google has an upgrade coming soon that fixes a lot of them. In the meantime I have to restart the phone at least once a day, which is annoying the way you have to proceed. It keeps telling me there is no sim card, I restart the phone and there it is. I'm not going to go on and on, I will reserve the rest of my comments until I get the bug update. If the update works, it will probably be a nice phone.

Pixel 6 Pro

So far am very please with the Pixel 6 Pro. The only negative I am seeing so far is when swiping thru left and right to view a next or previous pic (mostly social media) if you swipe from too close to the edge, it will take you back to the beginning of the feed and not the next pic so thats somewhat annoying
