Confirming what is already known, the fingerprint sensor is frustrating and very disappointing.. I have owned Pixel phones since the start and have loved owning them. My hope is that Google will address this and the other issues (dropped calls and spotty coverage ) as soon as possible, please…

Android's finest iteration yet!

TLDR: Amazing device. Google has finally distinguished the Pixel line from it's competitors!Review: Coming from a pixel 4a, this is a definite upgrade. Previously had a 3XL, absolutely loved that phone. Up until the 6 pro, the 3XL was Google's previous best. The 4a was a great budget phone, but the lack of wireless charging made it hard for me to not get that new device fomo. Google's pixel line always felt like it was just trying to compete with the current generation of smartphones while trying to carve out a piece of the market. The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro stand out compared to their younger versions. The camera visor is visually striking and people know it's a Pixel. The only true way to experience Android is on a Pixel device, and with the Tensor SOC, it's finally feeling like a complete package.Only gripe I have is the curved edges. Kind of looks dated now.

Fragile screen

I love the phone so far, except for the fact that the screen broke when I pulled it out of my pocket. The repair shop said that the Pixel screens are very fragile and that they won't even open up a Pixel phone for other repairs unless they have a spare screen on hand. Google sent them two replacement screens when the phones were first released. They used them both within a week and have been waiting a month or more for more screens to become available. They told me to call back each week to see if more replacements screens have come to the shop before they can repair my phone. The phone still works, but it is frustrating that the screen cracked so easily. - Love the phone, especially the camera, but now I wonder how often I will have to replace the screen.

Overall, am so far disappointed with the product. The problems with the fingerprint scanner are well known, not appropriate for a premium phone. Seems like Android 12 is buggier in this environment than with my Pixel 3. My screen freezes from time to time.

Pixel 6 pro is great! I love everything about it. I took me a minute to get used to not have the finger print sensor on the back. But i still love it.

Some steps backwards

I like the form factor but I'm concerned that what makes the Pixel phones compelling seems to be implemented poorly. For example, my previous phone was the pixel 3a. Loved that phone. One of my favorite things was to use the wake up routine with the phone screen gradually turning on and finally at the set alarm time, the alarm would sound. On the Pixel 6 Pro the alarm is not AUDIBLE defeating the purpose of a wake up routine with alarm
