A Good Attempt but Needs More Work
on January 4, 2022

Google pixel team made a good attempt to rejuvenate its Pixel Line. However, why was the phone launched when there were so many areas that needed work---network issues, update issues, fingerprint sensor, etc? Moreover, the technical support was practically missing and the company remained silent about various issues users experienced. From a brand like Google a lot more is expected. It is better to wait than launch something prematurely. Various pixels had one or another major issue, which brought a poor name for this brand.

Pixel is Just a Name Now

First and foremost disappointment is no Google Photos Back-Up.I've been using Google phones for way over a decade, since the Nexus One, and every phone I used was backing up all it's data for free, without using my Gmail storage quota. This phone doesn't come with any Google Photos Back-Up which was major advantage keeping me with Google phones for years.Considering this I may look now at other phones on the market, having better cameras, better battery life, and cost less.Second, this phone is enormously big, it's probably too small for a tablet, but it's definitely way to big for a phone.I liked the optical zoom, compared to previous Pixel phones, but I'm not sure I'm gonna keep the phone for this advantage alone.I'm considering to stick with Pixel 5 for the time being, as it's the last phone capable of backing up things without any hustle.

Great so far...

Coming from a Pixel 4xl I like the size and fluid performance of the 6 Pro so far. I've experienced a few screen/app hangups, but nothing excessive. The camera works well and there's a few surprisingly useful operating system and hardware upgrades over my 4xl. Still getting used to the camera bar aesthetic though...

I like it

I think it might be a little early, but I really like the phone. I find myself often picking it up just because the form factor is so nice. The pictures are gorgeous and the display is huge.

The phone over all is a great product with a few hiccups. I like the size and camera is great. Face unlock would be a big plus if added. The fingerprint sensor at this time isn't the greatest. Overall a great phone and good specs.

I feel that the Google Pixel 6 Pro is a great phone! It has an amazing camera, very cool minor features (like the game dashboard, battery share, etc), and is a great phone overall. I definitely would recommend this phone to someone in the position to buy it. I feel that I should be able to remove the Google search bar at the bottom of the phone (even though it's a Google phone). I also would like to say the battery is high quality, but won't last all day if you are constantly using it (I understand this phone is doing many things, even when not in use, so overall it's a high quality battery) That was some constructive criticism, but truly this is the best phone I've had. I'd like to note, I haven't owned any other top of the market phones, so I don't have anything to compare this to except for older phones. Still a great phone!

Buggy - Could Be Better
on January 4, 2022

I am not sure why, but over the last few years the level of quality with phones, watches, software, and games has really gone downhill. Every time I buy a game for the PC, it is littered with bugs. I just bought a smart watch that had issues overheating. I have found with the Pixel 6 Pro that there are a lot of issues with the system apps that really shouldn't be there for a phone that cost me over a grand. Pros:Android 12 is fast on the Pixel 6 Pro and runs smoothly. Beautiful phone. Camera is great.Cons:The OS and preinstalled apps are buggy. The settings are slim (hardly any customization). Google Assistant keeps opening all the time without a "Hey Google" or "Ok Google" or even a "Google." The "Driving Mode" part of assistance is flawed. It does not read your messages or allow shuffle play. YouTube Music is horrible and inferior to GPM. Notifications are shown multiple times even after being cleared. You can't remove "At a Glance." The UX sucks for this phone.
