Hate the volume and power button are right next to each other always shutting my screen off. Takes a few hours to fully charge and dies fast.. great camera though..

Difficult to unlock and customize

There's no face recognition, which is really annoying. The thumb print scanner works about 2/3 of the time. I'm not sure why the camera sticks out the back the way it does, but that is just weird and I wish it was flush. I guess the rest of the problems are related to the Android system, so I won't bother with those issues. Seems harder to customize than my old Samsung though. I'll get used to it but I really wish I knew there was no face recognition before I bought it.

Slippery devil

Mostly, I love it. But I'm begging you Google, give the next model some texture. Holding on to this thing is like holding on to a wet bar of soap. It constantly slides off of any table that isn't perfectly level. If I put it on the arm of my couch, it's on the floor in seconds. If I lay it next to me in bed to read a book, it quickly tries to slide under me. I ordered a skin that will solve this problem but I'd have been a lot happier if it wasn't necessary.

Pretty great

I love this phone. It feels high quality, it is quick and snappy. It takes great photos and videos (especially night photos).A couple cons:-night photos sometimes have little floating lights. It's like the light refracts off the glass "visor" and shows lights where they shouldn't be.-fingerprint sensor usually takes about 2 or 3 tries and i usually have to end up putting in the pin.Other than that, I love it.

The phone is great so far and with no connection issues. Magic eraser is a game-changer for all photo issues. Its responsive and easy to use. i love it so far. i used to have a Pixel 3XL and this is an upgrade for sure.

Made the jump
on December 28, 2021

Was still using old Pixel 3 and finally made the jump to a newer pixel 6 pro. Everything transferred over smooth and clean from the old phone. To the point of it almost feeling identical. Pixel 6 pro is a lot more responsive, Has more memory (12GB RAM), and a much better camera. All that, but still feels familiar. Only been using it for a little over a week now, so not much to say. I'll have to come back and update again later. One thing I have for sure noticed though, is the fingerprint sensor in the screen as opposed to the back of the phone is not very impressive. Many times I end up just having to use my PIN to get into the phone instead.

Great upgrade but not perfect

I really like this phone. It's super fast, takes fantastic photos, and has more features than I can remember. If you want to know more about them read the professional reviews. I didn't give it five stars because some of the changes from the previous Pixels make it less user friendly. The finger print ID is now on the front screen. On my old Pixel 3 XL it was conveniently located on the back and made unlocking the phone a breeze and could be done with one hand. Having to use two hands to unlock the phone, especially when you want to do it quickly, is a step backwards. I also don't like the swipe features when browsing. If you're trying to move a internet page from side to side the phone thinks you're trying to go back or forward a page. Same thing when you try to switch from one app to the other by swiping up. Finally, the phone is very slick without a case. It's almost like they designed it to be dropped.

Miss the old fingerprint reader
on December 29, 2021

I like the new camera on the Pixel 6 Pro, however I miss the convenience of having the fingerprint reader on the back of the phone. The new in-display fingerprint reader doesn't recognize some of the secondary fingerprints I put in, and it's also slower than the last fingerprint reader I had on my Pixel 4a 5G, which was on the back of the phone.
