I have had the phone for a week and I am so glad I bought it. I love photography and this phone is a game changer for me. Sad but my old SLR was a great companion for many years but now I have all tricks of the trade in a much lighter and smaller container. At 83 I am no longer saying " now in the old days bla bla, bla but instead wow I have a darkroom, a SLR and a huge telephoto in a little tiny cigarette size package? that's not just great. It's Epic.

I'm not a professional. I moved up from a Pixel 3XL, which I loved, to this phone which of course has the same Android operating system, but is a little bigger and, in my opinion, easier to handle. I love the screen that curves to the sides, and that it's not quite as round on the sides as the 3XL. I like the new square iPhone, it seems easier to hang on to (friends have them), and this is more like that than the 3XL. The camera for me has a little bit of a learning curve. I've taken some blurry photos, but the ones that are crisp are really beautiful. I'm really happy with this phone!

Writing this on ma new Pixel 6 Pro. Phone is awesome and fluid. Fingerprint sensor is great as well. I prefer the screen location as opposed to the rear position. Thanks Pixel Team (HTC squad) for an awesome product. Love the phone and design. Looks even better in person. The pictures are awesome from this 6Pro as well. Thanks for giving do many options for customizations as well. The voice functions are great as well. Just a few tweaks: let's add face unlock, make the phone use more of it's hardware (camera sensors) rather than software, take video up a notch to be king in photo and video, add some climatic focus. Even without those this P6P is a beast of a phone. Adding the suggested features would put it in another realm.

I found the phones to be very hard to understand. Returned both Google phones. These phones are not designed for the everyday person but for a person who can't go anyplace with out a phone in their hand. I will never buy a phone that is so sophisticated that it is not functional to the average user. Need to design 2 lines of phones one for those who are not interested in all the advances and one for those who sit around and can't live with out the latest advances.

A step backwards from the pixel 4. Bluetooth doesn't connect half the time. Finger print scanner is a joke and annoying.

Great Phone, very smooth OS experience

I upgraded to my Pixel 6 Pro from a Galaxy Note 10. My Note was a 4G only phone and I wanted to start taking advantage of 5G speeds. PROS: It's hard to put my finger on what is different from my old phone to this one but the interface is very responsive, smooth and just feels nice. The QHD screen is a definite upgrade from my Note 10. It is simply stunning to look at. I haven't done a deep dive into the cameras but did find the Photo Sphere function under Modes. It lets you take 360 degree panarama shots that are viewable through a VR headset. It's a "New to Me" function that I find very cool. CONS: I have noticed some irregularities in battery usage as sometimes it seems to drain quicker than others. Most notable was on a road trip using Waze. The phone was on a wireless charging mount and instead of charging the battery slowly drained instead. Also, Screen protectors will be hard to install due to the curved edges of the screen.

Closer to Greatness

The Pixel 6 Pro is a great phone and a step closer to being an excellent phone. The addition of the fingerprint sensor is great and was the biggest thing missing from my previous Pixel 4 XL. I do wish the sensor was a little faster/easier like that on the Galaxy S21.The screen looks great but feels kind of cheap and like plastic. I can feel it move when I press on it. Doesn't feel as solid as the S21. Battery life is good.The addition of an FM radio and 3.5mm headphone jack would make this a perfect phone for me. But nobody includes those things anymore. For what you get for the price I believe this is currently the best phone value on the market.

I absolutely love my Pixel 6 Pro and do not regret the purchase for one second. This phone takes noticeably better pics than my old Samsung Note 20 Ultra and functions smooth as butter with no hiccups.My only frustration about the phone is the battery life. It goes through battery extremely fast and I am nowhere close to getting a day's worth of use before having to charge.I recommend having a plethora of wireless charging stands around to help compensate :D
