Really nice phone, lack of customization

Switching from Samsung to a Google Pixel has only been a disappointment in this one aspect - Samsung has themes. It seems that Google *just* removed their customization options and replaced it with simpler settings that aren't nearly as good. I want to be able to customize the font, the colors, how big the notification bubbles are but none of these are options. If I'd thought to look that up before switching, I wouldn't have. Otherwise the phone runs like a dream but customization is really important to me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Need help

Love the phone and the change. Extremely disappointed in the issues I'm having with Android Auto and talking on my phone through my trucks Bluetooth (sync) with this new phone. All sorts of issues. Also dealing with lack of reliable service like other pixel 6 users. Google please help on all the above!

I love the phone.. Great pictures on just the settings from the factory,. I have not fooled with the settings yet.. the down side for me was the style Google displayed my photos!!!Large album's and not all my albums!! I just don't like it. Everything else is Good. Thanks!!!

Great phone if you are new to pixel

Finally got the phone after a month of ordering and a week's delay from FedEx (holiday season). Traded in my Pixel 3. It's a great phone, awesome camera, new features, great processor etc.All the features on paper are great! But for someone who uses the phone like any other average Joe, it's not much of an upgrade from my Pixel 3. It's probably because Google offers great software features like the photo editing suggestions, Google translate, call answer, message reply suggestions etc. But most of these were kind of available in the previous pixel phones. From the hardware stand point, I am not able to notice any drastic change with my average daily use. So, TLDR Great phone if you haven't had a pixel phone before, would definitely recommend it. But for previous pixel owners it depends on what you are looking for. Camera? Yes definitely! Anything else maybe you are good where you are.

Speedy and smooth

Impressive camera with zoom from wide angle through to telephoto and great video stabilization. I have disabled 5G since it is spotty at best in my area, and have experienced no network drops in the two weeks I've had the phone. I also find the fingerprint sensor works well on my index finger. Using my thumb was less consistent until I added a duplicate entry for the same thumb. Now it responds almost instantaneously and consistently for the thumb as well. The screen is beautiful, though *just* bright enough in sunlight. All actions are speedy. Audio quality from speakers is slightly less than on an iPhone but it is still clean and pleasant. All around this is a handsome and solid piece of work.

This phone is beautifully made and definitely has some power under the hood. No issues running any app, and or course, the pictures/video is amazing. I have been a fan since the Nexus series, and the evolution to the Pixel 6 Pro is the finest of any phone line.
I would recommend this to a friend!
