Love my first Pixel phone

At first the fingerprint sensor issue was starting to bug me and then I learned about increasing the sensitivity. Increasing it worked (but still needs that update). The only other issue I have with it is that you can easily delete (swipe right)messages if your not paying attention.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The phone runs great overall. I do find that the finger print reader is a bit touchy and if you add in too many it slows the unlocking even further. I also find that pulling down the settings screen is a bit tough at times. Overall great phone and big improvement over my old Pixel 4XL.

A proper affordable flagship

Really great phone. I always like Google phones because of the software but it always felt like there was something missing. I always thought if only the hardware is as good as the software this will be a perfect phone. It's almost like Samsung and OnePlus combined with Google's software. I finally got what I want at a price cheaper than Samsung,OnePlus and iPhone.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The camera and screen are great, but the fingerprint reader is terrible, and so is the battery life, I will only keep this phone for a year.

So far the battery don't even last me a whole day. I don't know why for a brand new phone it drains crazy with minimum usage. From 12am night 100 percent to morning 7am already 10 percent gone. By 12 noon down to 70 to 65 percent with checking message not even playing music or video. Finally by 7pm it's already down to 17 percent with just checking message and few missed calls. If this keeps up. I'm going to have to return this phone and get a Sam s21 instead. I can't deal with this. I thought coming from a pixel 2 xl used for 3 year on the verge of battery replacement was going to be bad. This is even worst. Google needs to get there acts together and fix this fast or else people will be leaving because of battery issues. The other thing that's bothering me is the fingerprint sensor. Did I missed something? I setup my reader after screen protector and it's still junk or are all on screen fingerprint the same thing that barely recognize when I used it. Not sure if I can recommend

Honestly expected better

Having been a big fan of previous generations of the Pixel, I was excited to get my Pixel 6 Pro. Honestly though, so far its failed to meet expectations. The fingerprint reader is terrible. Very poor reads, and cannot use any sort of screen protection since if you do, the scanner doesn't work at all. The rear based scanner on the Pixel 3 XL was far easier to use. Phone also tends to feel hot most of the time, much warmer than my last one, with just basic use. When unlocking or opening apps, there is often a jumpy hesitation before anything happens. I'd also been excited about the new camera features, but this is also a letdown. Camera can't seem to focus on anything very close up, and photo quality lacks due to this. Overall, it seems to be an OK phone, but in my opinion lacks the finesse and ease of use of previous models. Hopefully some of these issues can be worked out in future updates.
