Please bring back facial recognition!

This phone is beautiful and sharp and I really do love it. My biggest issue is that once you apply a screen protector (one that is specifically designed to allow for fingerprint reading), the fingerprint reading no longer works. I even deleted my fingerprint and set it up again with the screen protector on AND turned on the enhanced fingerprint sensitivity in settings. The Pixel 6 Pro recorded my fingerprint with the screen protector on but refuses to recognize it when I use it to log in. I LOVED the facial recognition that was on my Pixel 4a and really wish Google didn't take that away in favor of a fingerprint login that doesn't work anyway.So I'm back to entering my pin or drawing a shape every time I want to use my phone, which is inconvenient after having gotten used to just putting it in front of my face.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Switched from an s21 ultra. I made the right choice. This phone is great. The keyboard is infinitely better than Samsung and apple

After 4 years away from Android and my last pixel, it feels good to be back. The interface is super smooth, the cameras are great, and the battery life lasts me all day! I could go on and on but I won't actually. If you're thinking about getting this phone, just do it. You won't regret it. Just make sure you get a case. This phone is slipperier than lube! I've seen it slide on "level" floors.

Best Pixel Yet!!!

Always been a fan of Pixel devices, it all started with Nexus devices. I've had alot of phones, you can never go wrong with a Vanilla Android OS. For alot of reasons, no bloatware, no issues with user interface, latest Android updates, and so on. The Pixel 6 Pro has been an amazing experience to use. The Tensor chip gives a smooth and easy to use interface. Performance has been top notch. Camera is definitely competing among other high end devices. The screen is butter smooth and vibrant. So far, zero issues on my end. I love this phone.

It's great on the digital side of things my only issue is that the screen is easily scratched. I honestly don't know how I scratched the edge of the screen on both the top and the bottom but otherwise its great. I've set up the double tap option to access my keep notes which I use quite frequently.

Good, but not mind blowing

It feels just like my Pixel 4XL. Sure, the screen's a little bigger, the zoom for the camera is better and it's a little faster.Overall, it doesn't feel like a big jump. Also, I've always used screen protectors, and the new built in fingerprint scanner becomes less responsive with the protection.The battery life is mediocre, perhaps as the adaptive battery picks up on the fact that I rarely use some applications it will improve...I would buy the phone again, I'm pleased I paid the same amount for double the storage with this phone vs my Pixel 4XL, but I'm not blown away and I'm a little disappointed that this is what we call a flagship phone... Maybe we are just plateauing a bit with smartphones because they've become "good enough", which is fair. I don't usually need "more" from my phone.I am glad the support life has increased, it's nice to know I won't have to buy the equivalent of a midgrade laptop every two/three years just to maintain security and software updates.

Super buggy

Never had a phone so buggy. Bluetooth audio glitches, network glitches, battery problems, gets very warm almost hot just from browsing the web doing nothing CPU intensive. Very disappointed and thinking about returning it for the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. This phone would be well worth it if it didn't have so many problems. It affects my daily life as my smartphone is a big part of most things I do.

Very happy with this purchase, upgraded from the pixel 2 XL and had a seamless transition, transferred all my info, contacts, and even wallpaper and custom notification sounds! 120hz on a phone is game-changing for scrolling and general snappiness. The new camera sensors and features are also fantastic. With all the pixel exclusive or at least pixel-first features I'd say this is the best android experience you can get!
