Really truly amazing but industry standard issues

My experience with the Pixel 6 pro has been really great, I love the screen, the usefulness, the build and really everything about it. The only real issue I have is with fingerprint scanners underneath the display, this is industry standard right now but what in the world was wrong with a physical fingerprints becamera on the back of a phone? It is much much faster and doesn't take up any screen real estate. I don't know why phone when you've extrus in general are going in this direction, go back go back back
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointing

Yup, I've read all the hype. It's huge. It's slippery as a greased seal. (Phone, meet floor.) Seems to work okay, not materially different from the Pixel 3 I've appreciated for over two years. BUT, the display sucks. Not just a little bit... a LOT! Colors are awful. Reds are a washed out orange. Blues are dull and grayish. Nothing about it is vibrant or realistic. I was apparently spoiled by the beautiful display of my Pixel3, because I get this same sinking feeling every time I look at this thing. [FWIW, the Pixel non-"pro" looks a lot better. Not as nice as my P3, but close.] Bottom line think long and hard before laying out all this extra cash for a dull-looking Ford-Class Aircraft-carrier-sized P6P.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

There really is not too much bad about the phone. Speed is great, the camera and phone functions are what I come to expect from my pixels. The only draw back I see right now is the sound. It's extremely low on calls. The speaker volume is fine. It's the call volume that is way less the be desired. And yes, the volume is turned all the way up and it still is bad. It's almost with dropping star ratings because it's that bad. Still love the pixel phones is the only reason I didn't drop it. I would recommend the phone only with that said though. People should know what they are buying.

Finger print scanner is a problem.

Only had it for about a weeks and in mixed. It's fast but so was my pixel 4. Then the pixel started to struggle. So won't know till a year or two. The finger print scanner is the worst part of the phone. I scanned the same finger multiple times and it still has a ton of trouble reading it. They really should of put more time into it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

pretty awesome, some regressions from pixel 3

The pixel 6 pro seems to have regressed from my old pixel 3. The backside fingerprint reader was hands down better. Pixel 6's doesn't read as effectively, as quickly and requires you to basically look at the screen to unlock. I used to pull out of my pocket with finger on the reader and boom .. my eyes just see the unlocked screen. This is no longer the case.Squeeze to launch google assistant that the pixel 3 had admittedly had some flaws...but man was that easy and quick to lunch. Now i have to reach up to the power button and hold for a second or two. First world problems for sure, but it's definitely not better imo. Android 12 has stupidly combined wifi and mobile connectivity into one quick setting so enjoy your extra taps go get to wifi now. The phone is fast, and the various features enabled by the tensor chip like magic eraser are pretty awesome and useful. It's as close as most people want to a truly vanilla Android experience.

Having been a consistent and repeat customer to Google's family of phones since the Motorola Droid, I can say that this is the first major step in the right direction since the Nexus 6P. The camera is magnificent owed to its snappy and reliable image processing. The screen in my opinion is second to none with its 4K 120 Hz HDR screen.My chief complaint is battery while I do get almost a full days use without charging, having come from a OnePlus 8T I expected better performance than delivered. All in all this phone is magnificent, feature Rich and well thought out.
