The sum of the parts and the spec sheet is something Pixel fans have been waiting for a long time. Tensor is very promising and brings another level of excitement for the future iterations. The charging speeds and overall endurance seems a bit off book but could possibly get better with updated. Overall a fantastic product.

Will it last?

Having the phone for about a week, I have a few great experiences with it. The camera is great, the speakers are improved (from pixel 5), the screen is high quality and bright. I do miss the back-of-the-phone unlock feature from previous models. The phone is heavy and a bit larger, but the size is not a pro or a con. (As a runner, it is much harder to run with this device than the pixel 5.) The battery and the charging are really what worry me. I have been able to charge it to 100% twice and find myself running out of battery much faster than I'd like. For now, I am getting about a full day (15 hours) in the same areas and usage as the Pixel 5 in which was getting more than 24 hours. In fact, I rarely had to keep a charger with me if I had to stay away from home for a night. This phone, I don't feel that confident. And it takes forever charging. I get the reason but I'd like to have the choice in times I NEED that power. Overall, it's a good phone. But not exactly what I hoped for.

Good, but not for me

It's a great step forward but I can't give up my Pixel 5 because of the durability (glass back) and bulk. If you want a big phone this one is the one to get. However, for me, coming from a Pixel 5 I missed having the lighter and more durable phone. The finger print scanner is also a huge step back from the one on the back of the pixel 5... I don't need it to be in display. And I really don't care about the "premium" glass back when I have to give up functionality and durability, and potentially pay more for privilege.However, if you are looking for a big phone flagship like iphone or samsung, I would go this route for sure. Its lighter then those, just as big, and all around a better package.

I thought that moving from the pixel 3a XL would be the same interface but there is a learning curve. Somethings I like others not so much. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. Overall the experience of changing over to the 6 Pro was simple, but we needed support to get the cell service actually working. The phone is heavier than I expected, and is much more sensitive than previous ones. After 1 week I like the phone and only time will tell if it performs as well as the other pixel phones. I will say I recommend this phone, but that is conditional since it is too new to have a completely accurate review.

Android 12 has problems...

I switched from apple. As I turned on my pixel for the first time the keyboard didn't pop up at all and I had to restart the phone. There are other issues with it as well for example the 1password autocomplete is bugged and unusable. I often find myself stuck in the UI due to a lack of "back" button. The left and right swipe have unpredictable behavior. So until these issues are ironed out I would not recommend this phone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great phone easy set up they only bad thing is that I had the pixel 3 it had a fingerprint on the back of the phone pixel 6 has it on the screen once I put the screen saver glass on the phone I can't use the fingerprint anymore
