Almost There

I really think this is the best phone Google has put out yet. The camera is amazing. The screen and responsiveness is flagship quality. I have had no issues with performance. The only things that take away from a five-star are the battery and certain changes to this version of Android. Battery optimization is nowhere near what it was coming from an iPhone 12 pro Max. The battery will drain fairly consistently even with no screen time and the phone sitting on my desk. I know there are certain things you can change in settings to slow the battery drain. But that shouldn't be on the user to tweak and modify settings. The only thing I did was remove 5G and put it on the LTE network since 5G is not in my area. That has really helped the battery life of my phone now. As for the changes in Android 12, most are appreciated but the quick settings are nowhere near as useful and intuitive as they used to be. All in all a great phone with a few small issues.

I’ve been a Google Pixel phone girl for several years now. But the 6 Pro is definitely my favorite so far. The camera is phenomenal! The only thing I don’t like (hence the 4 ⭐️ rating) is the battery life. The battery seems to drain kind of fast. Also, my old pixel stands don’t work for it either. With the old pixel stands, my phone charges really, really slow. Other than that, it’s a great phone!

Not the quality I expected.

When interacting with my Pixel 6 Pro in landscape mode, the screen has an extremely noticeable "seesaw" motion. Each half of the screen moves down and up when I push and release the screen on that side. I'm also having a lot of problems with dropped inputs (the screen regularly ignores my touch inputs) as well as "phantom" inputs (the screen behaves as if I touched it when I didn't), which is very negatively affecting my gaming.Lastly, the curved screen edges are causing my taps on the edges of the screen to fail to register--which is, again, negatively affecting my gaming.In terms of quality and design, this phone feels like a significant downgrade from my previous Pixel 4XL.

I upgraded from my Pixel 4 and... this is fine. P4 had a number of nuisances that P6 fixes, but it comes with its own set of nuisances. E.g. the curved screen at the edge doesn't register touches; you cannot exit fullscreen mode on some apps that cut off the edge of its screen; the battery life is as bad as my P4 was after 2 years of ownership; etc etc.Get it if you feel in the market for an upgrade(?) but it's probably better to wait for a discount.

This is my 3rd Pixel phone after the Pixel 2XL and the Pixel 4a5g. Although I was satisfied with my previous Pixel phones, this one blows them both out of the water. The hardware truly stands out as a high quality device that can hold it's own against any smartphone on the market. The benefits of having stock Android 12 and priority updates on a fresh device ensures that owners of the Pixel 6 Pro will remain on the cutting edge of technology for the life of the phone. I have no regrets about this purchase.
