My first pixel. Worth the wait and then some!

I have been waiting for Google to make this phone for a very long time. I had been using LG phones for years, but I always wanted to try a Pixel and when I got this phone, I knew I made the right choice. The display is a treat. The speaker performance is good, and with the high refresh rate at 120hz this phone feels buttery smooth. The best part of the phone is the camera. 9 out of 10 times the camera does an excellent job taking a detailed ready to share picture with little to no effort from me. It's so easy to use.The only cons I have with the phone so far are the slightly below average battery life, the lack of customization for the always on display, and the downgrade in audio quality when listening to music over Bluetooth audio due to the apparent lack of a sound engine or any audio tuning for music and movies. All of those things can hopefully be fixed with software updates, so I'd say job well done Google!

Bluetooth problem ...
on November 21, 2021

Significant lag on audio v. video streaming YouTube/Netflix. Tried everything I can think of, changing all available Bluetooth settings.Works fine using the phone speaker. My Pixel 4 XL has no lag on my system, re router etc., so it must be the Pixel 6 Pro's problem.Asked the community for help, no one else seems to have this problem.(Otherwise, the phone works, and looks great.)

Powerful Phone, Great Camera / Odd New Gestures
on November 21, 2021

Super powerful and fast phone with a great camera that has a 4x optical zoom and some pretty neat software to clean-up / retouch photos. Still struggling with learning the new gesture systems (instead of the back and home buttons). Yeah, I can turn the new gestures off, but figured I'd see if I could master them and then decide if they truly have any real benefit. Purely holding back on the 5 start review for this part. Otherwise, it's another advanced phone with more processing power and fancy features. No real complaints.

Nice phone, definitely NOT a flagship experience!

The phone works, but the software is flaky and Pixel support doesn't exist. Issues (I went from Pixel 5 to Pixel 6 Pro) include:- The larger battery is lasting far less than the 1 year old Pixel 5. - Finger print recognition (even after the surprise update) is slow

Not what I was going for
on November 21, 2021

Received the phone with cracks in the top corner. That crack has more spread along the whole screen. The lack of a back button makes the operation more iPhone like, which is not what I wanted. The volume button only adjusts the media volume, making it so you have to take extra steps to adjust the ring volume. Could be that there are easier ways to do all this, and I'm still learning. I prefer the simple tasks be kept simple, that was why I stick with Android and why I thought the pixel would be good. On the positive side, the apps have all worked seamlessly, and the photos have been great. The processor has been very smooth. I'm sure I'll learn the new functions, or figure out a way to adjust them shortly.
