it works, pretty good. I wish UAPP was available. My oneplus 6T felt more solid and the battery lasted much longer. The camera is good with nice features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 1. Design
a. The Pixel 6 Pro has the standard candy-bar design with a glass panel on the front and back held together with a metal band. However, the top of the phone is mostly plastic. The camera hump is the most unique part of the visible hardware as it spans the entire back of the phone, which also allows it to rest on tables without wobbling when used which is a huge plus if you use your phone set on a table a lot. There is no headphone jack or expandable storage which is a bummer.
2. Performance
a. For the most part the phone has excellent performance, apps launch quick the screen is snappy and I have never had a game slow down or chug frame-rate wise. The screen is responsive especially with the 120hz refresh display. I have noticed a few times where the software hangs, especially when trying to use the back gesture but these are few and far between and I do not think detract from the experience enough to be a problem. I live in an area with good service and have not had any issues with reception, call quality or internet speeds.
3. Battery
a. I use my phone heavily and have the ability to charge intermittently throughout the day. I will say that the charging seems slow but I believe it is because I have the adaptive charging turned on in the settings to preserve the battery health which I think is well worth it and a nice feature to include. Even on days I do not plug in I am able to make it through the day, if just barely. I have yet to have the phone die under normal use.
4. Camera
a. The camera on the Pixel 6 Pro is excellent. The photos are quick and it will take multiple photos of fast moving objects and splice them together for the best image. I like the magic eraser software feature but if you use it for anything in the foreground or larger it is obvious where the photo was edited. This phone has the best low light/night shot I have ever used.
5. Overall
a. The Pixel 6 Pro is a great phone overall that performs no matter what is thrown at it. The camera is hard to beat and is a great point-and-shoot no matter the current lighting conditions. The only downsides are the lack of ports (3.5mm), expandable storage and maybe the battery as it gets you through the day but cuts it close sometimes.

Continuing saga of Google phones

Have always used Android phones. Google is my preferred choice but with the early Google phones I've had multiple charging issues. Now with the Google 6 pro the fingerprint issue being the main issue.

Overall a good phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this phone for two weeks and here are my thoughts. Just setting up the phone it over heated and I had to turn it off. Once it cooled down and got it set up it was a love hate relationship. I loved the camera and many features it offered. I did not like the fact that the battery did not last long. The screen glitches randomly. The battery takes forever to charge. On the up side it has the best voice to text I've ever experienced. I'm sure the longer I use this phone the more I will love it and write off the little things that bother me now. So overall I think it is a good phone.

Nice phone, overheats all the time though from normal use
on February 13, 2022

Love the phone in general but it's constantly overheating with normal use. From what I've read this seems to be a somewhat common issue. Currently in discussion with Google's support team so hopefully this issue gets fixed. Until this is resolved for the time being for not only my phone but for everyone else going through similar issues, I wouldn't recommend this phone. Like with any new product release there are unforeseen issues. Not sure how your phone being this hot for no reason could slip past their testing teams but I'll give the benefit of the doubt (could just be a bad batch of batteries, heat paste, system updates, etc)

Solid Product, Issues on Transfer
on February 14, 2022

For perspective, this review is from someone who was a lifelong Apple user and this is my first personal Android device. The Pixel 6 Pro is really well made and has thus far served all my needs. The camera is the main reason I finally upgraded. It works great. While there are a lot of settings, for the most part I can safely ignore most of them and just point and shoot and trust that the software will do what it can to make the images look great. The only challenge I had was the transfer process from my iPhone 8 Plus. It took a while for ultimately nothing to be copied over for reasons I could not understand. On one hand, it meant it took longer to set up the phone. On the other hand, it meant I got to start from scratch and only add apps as I needed them rather than copying a whole bunch of stuff I no longer use. Also, while playing some games the phone heats up quite a bit. I do have a case and screen protector on it, so maybe that contributes to the heat.

So glad I made the switch

I can't believe I was hesitant to try out the Pixel. The camera is the most important thing I look for when I get a phone, and the Pixel 6 Pro's camera is PHENOMENAL. The quality and clarity are amazing. There are numerous options and settings that I get to play with. As for the phone itself, it's fast, fluid, and just a joy to own. I am so glad that I made the switch and got a Pixel 6 Pro.

Been better pixels

This is my 3rd pixel. I was so excited to get it. The camera is cool, though it comes in zoomed and you have to focus pan out. Then I had to turn 5g off because I would loose service basically everywhere. I've had my provider for 2 years and I've lived in the same area for the same amount of time. While it's not a huge area, we have 5g here. But there's time I can't even make calls. So I'm on LTE. All other 5g phones on the provider, have no issues. We've reached out to family and friends. But the 6pro does. Other than that I like it. If I'm typing something and it doesn't make sense, it notices until I correct it. I love erasing people from pictures in the photos app.
