Pixel 6 Pro

I am loving my Pixel 6 Pro, it's snappy and working well. Love the camera, love the magic eraser and love my new storage, I purchased the 256 this time. The only thing I can say that gives me fits is the fingerprint scanner. Miss my Face scan!!

Nice sleek phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Pixel 6 Pro from Google is the latest and the greatest in smartphones. It is a sleek device which has a crisp 6.7 inch QHD screen with a 1440 x 3120resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, which is useful for gaming and doing performance heavy tasks that rely heavily on the smoothness of motion. The Pixel 6 Pro also has a large 5,000 mAh battery. It took me an entire day and a large part of the next day of moderate use before I had to plug it into a charger. I found the performance to be quite zippy especially considering Google's in-house Tensor processor, and the Pixel 6 line being the first device to use it. I also really like the camera bump that goes across the back. The camera features a 4x optical zoom and my photos came out to be sharp and life like.
On the software side of things, the Pixel 6 Pro runs Android 12, which is the latest version, and this being a Google phone guarantees you first dibs on OS updates for several years to come. One minor issue, however, is that the back of the phone has no texture and is therefore slippery, particularly if you have smaller hands. I would suggest you get a case in order to protect the device. Despite this minor annoyance, the Pixel 6 Pro is a solid competitor to other flagship smartphones.

Pixel 6 pro: good start needs some polishing
on January 31, 2022

The battery life is much better compared to my pixel 4. Apps open and close smooth and seamlessly due to the 12gb of ram. 4k 60p video is really nice and works great. Maybe we can get a cinematic mode and auto focus tracking in an update. The finger print sensor has trouble about 70 percent of the time even with multiple fingers and the same finger put in twice for better recognition. I miss the facial sensor from the pixel 4. On the down side. The glass cracked in my pocket walking from my kitchen to the dining room. It was random. I read that this has been an issue for others as well. I have only had one other smart phone crack but it was from dropping it on concrete from about 8ft. It also does not work with my DJI app. This is a known issue and have not heard about any resolution for this. Have fun keep up the good work.

Too much for too little

Overall, the phone works fine. BUT, I'm seriously disappointed in Google's lack of people to help you and instead referring you to their support pages.Pros: Good camera(s), lots of storage, fast performance.Cons: Fingerprint scanner doesn't work on the first try consistently enough to not be inconvenient (I've programmed the same fingerprint(s) multiple times), ONLY 1 of the 2 speakers is working FROM the factory, Google support is non existent if you'd like to speak to a human being.

Thumbprint scanner sucks
on February 1, 2022

Thumbprint scanner does not work often enough to even use. The phone is too big. I miss the back arrow at the bottom of the screen because swiping the screen to go back tends to happen accidentally quite often. Camera is awesome though

Pixel 6 Pro - Terrible Phone!
on February 1, 2022
Posted by: Terry
I have owned several Android phones, including 3 Google Pixel Phones. I bought the Pixel 6 Pro to replace my Pixel 3 XL. This is the worst phone I have ever purchased!1) The volume is inadequate. I can barely hear the other party on a speaker phone call.2) The fingerprint sensor/reader is nearly useless. It rarely works the first time, and I spend too much time moving and adjusting my finger on the front of the phone to try to get the phone to unlock. Most of the time I just end up entering my PIN to open the phone after trying to get the phone unlocked with my finger. What's the point! The fingerprint sensor on the back of my Pixel XL 3 wasn't perfect, but it worked OK most of the time. This is a step backwards!3) There is also some other buggy behavior. Sometimes the keyboard will not pop-up at all when I am entering text in a dialog. Sometimes the settings
