Pixel 6 Pro

This is a good phone, except for the fact that I can't assign individual ringtones or notifications to my contacts. That is why I gave the phone only 4 stars. To me, things are very streamlined on the phone.

Pixel 6 Pro (s)

I had a Pixel 3 XL and don't really need the latest technology.. I get content with the older devices. The migration to the 6 Pro was pretty easy.. Most apps and data transferred smoothing.. The fingerprint reader is different on the getting.. Same periodic issues reading it and on the 3XL. The adaptive battery charging is a little weird/scary at first.. It took a few days/times charging to start showing 100%. Not happy that it didn't come with the charging adapter. The camera is impressive. Great focus and plenty of zoom power. The magic eraser is a cool feature.. Still playing with that. Not crazy over three 2 button to power off/restart phone. Today I had 2 incidents that I heard a high pitch almost whistle while king the phone today.. Both times I was on speaker phone. So far I'm petty content.. I'm glad I got a great deal to upgrade my old phone from my provide.

Have been a Android user since the G1 and this is my fist Pixel device. The phone is great I love the camera and how fluid stock Android flows.

Fingerprints...eh...
on January 29, 2022

I previously owned a Pixel 3 XL and the fingerprint security was GREAT! As phones evolve you would think the features that already exist would get better, however, I persistently have issues with the phone recognizing my fingerprints. I make sure that I follow the instructions when setting it up and I even tried turning the sensitivity up hoping it would help. The phone has some great features but the fingerprint accessibility is important to me. I hope there is an update to fix this soon!

Nice but not great

I replaced my Pixel with the 6Pro. With the exception of the camera and especially the Magic Eraser tool, I'm not overly impressed. It takes longer due to more actions to get to the Home Screen, to clear pages and even to turn it off. There is no Home Button and to turn off the phone you need to push two buttons instead of one. There's also the occasional phone slowdown which requires a restart.

Upgrade from Google Pixel 5 BUT many issues
on January 29, 2022
Posted by: Taras
The phone itself is good but their are so many issues with it. The good is it definitely is faster, screen is better, the camera is awesome (best upgrade in years) and the screen is bigger. The bad is that the battery is definitely about the same as the Pixel 5 because of the better/brighter screen. Things like the google assistant as of January 2022 is bad. It keeps disconnecting when asking a question, google disabled the "beep" after saying hey google, and sometimes google stops listening to you all together and will not listen to you. Along with that, the auto rotate also does not work all the time and the auto brightness is finicky. However, I still think the phone is worth it and hopefully google sees this review and addresses these issues in the next couple months. If they don't, then I would not recommend the google pro 6 and would just recommend the pixel 6.

Transition from Samsung
on January 29, 2022

I believe this will be a great phone, however I'm surprised at the learning curve when transitioning after a decade of Samsung Galaxy phones. Great pics, but not the editing options I'm used too. Maybe more me than the phone, but I thought it would be more similar.

Terrible

Worst front facing camera I've ever had in a smart phone, returned in 2 days and reactivated my Pixel 2XL. Waste of other good features and super disappointed I couldn't upgrade. They NEED some software fixes.
