Pros, This phone has been a great upgrade from my pixel 4 xl. The 4x camera zoom has already come in handy for numerous photos. New cameras are amazing. Vibration feedback is also much improved. One thing no one mentions is how great the speakers sound! Cons, One area for improvement is the unlocking. The soli facial recognition was fast and easy on the 4xl. I would like the option of no lock screen, and just fingerprint unlock for private apps or folders. Its annoying having to unlock the phone just to use the calculator or check messages. Would also like to see the usual colored power button for pixel return!Overall, great improvements all around.

It's a pixel phone. Not going to be disappointed in the beginning. Build quality is good, software is great, camera is top notch. Google assistant speech to text is mind blowingly good, surprised at how much that has impressed me. Only wish is that they made a smaller one. This purchase will only be worth it if it last 5 years. That's when Ill know the upgrade and upcharge for the Pro was a good decision.

Missing Key features for me

I love the phone. Camera hardware is much more improved. However there few features google completely miss. There r some features I miss from my 4XL. Facial recognition to open the phone. Squeeze to turn off my alarm.

Lots of Reddit reports about issues with the fingerprint sensor, size, weight, color tint etc. Besides not having any of the tech issues, the phone size is OK for me and the battery life is 2 days in light usage, but I top up over night and it's scheduled to be 100% by wake up time. Perfect. Bigger screen is welcome, I love the 120 Hz which I didn't think would be noticable... It really is. It's bright enough and auto brightness works fantastic (others have complained) in all my use situations. The slightly curved screen is not an issue and neither is the camera bezel.Camera works well and the edit details on photos are pretty much best available. If you like social media the camera app connects straight to them. Dropped it while in a case on to carpet a couple of times from couch height and no issues so far with that. I like what this is over the Pixel3 I had!

Great phone with some quarks

Overall I love the phone. I upgraded from the pixel 5 so the move to the fingerprint scanner on the display from the back is taking some getting used to. My chief complaint is there appears to be a lag in audio when using Pixel buds. I hope this is can be corrected with a software update. Other than that I am really enjoying my new phone.
