Nice bottles but they are not spill/leak proof

These bottles are really nice. I need something for my multiply disabled son. He like to chew on the straws, so I thought something like this would be great for him. The only problem is it leaks terrible when opened. He’s 9 yrs old, but does not know well enough to sit the bottle up straight in the table. The search will continue for a spill proof drink container for and older child that is chew resistant.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thank you for your review. We do apologize for any issues you are having with the product. Our straw lids are leak proof when closed completely. If straw tip is open and dropped you may experience some leaking.

we have other takeya water bottles that we love but i am slightly concerned with this particular one. the rubber around the top neck of the bottle seems to move around quite a bit when i’m unscrewing the lid . my other water bottles don’t seem to do that. just hoping it lasts and doesn’t break

I can see why people buy these bottles after just taking the 1st sip. They are easy to drink they are easy to hold and my child loves them too. My only concern is if they are dropped that they will get an ugly dent.

I bought this water bottle for my son to use at school. It’s perfect—no rubber spout which always seems to tear, keeps his water cold, and has a rubber bottom for quieter use in the classroom. Win, win!
