With my allergies being so bad this year it provides me with cleaner air and less sneezing. I like the high and low settings and being able to set a timer. The nightlight is nice. I do have to turn it off at night because of the loudness.

Fast forward numerous years and I decided to take a chance on Bessel because their products seem reasonably priced, and they were getting decent reviews too. I own two 400's and four of these personal air purifiers. They work well. They are quiet and they are very reasonably priced. They're very quiet and the filter replacement is reasonably priced too.

Great for victims of Cigarette/ marajuana stench!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My parents are heavy marajuana smokers and occassional cigarette smokers. Needless to say my bedroom, hair and clothes would reek of the smell. Since ive gotten this machine (about 3 weeks now), i noticed the smell is not detectable at all! I do keep my door closed when i turn this on bc it really helps to keep out the smell and freshens my room faster (in general it doesnt take long at all to do its job) It leaves the air fresh and crisp, too.Its easy to use, sleek design and has a nifty blue light!- perfect for those like me who are scared of the dark heheh.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Happy with the overall looks and build quality. A little disappointed with the variation in the 3 fan speed settings - sleep, low and high. Sleep and low are perfect. Low can be used with little background noise, and i have the machine running continuously in my home office, with no disturbance. The high setting however is like a jet engine... it's powerful, but at the same time just not a setting that is useable for me. The ambient lighting is a nice touch. This is a substantive machine at 8" in diameter and 12" tall.
