I opened up the box, plugged it in and tried it in one of our musty rooms. I let it run for about 4 hours. The room has always had a musty odor to it. The house is older, built in 1929, and one room was always damp and musty smelling. I put the machine in our bedroom, because I also have severe asthma and my husband allergies. I ran the machine in my room for about 4 hours with the musty smelling door open as well, as we have to leave open so it doesn't get moldy. Well, after running it for about 4 hours, I was walking back to the room, and I was in awe!! I am not getting paid or anything for writing this for Bissell, but when I walked by, I smelled absolutely NO musty smell!! I walked into the room and again, NO MUSTY SMELL!! It was totally cleaned!! I was shocked! I hadn't smelled it that clean for many years! So now, I am going to purchase another one, as soon as I can, just to keep in the musty room. I need to keep in my room now because of the medical issues. But definitely will pick up another!!! Thank you BISSELL!!!!!

The air quality in pour bedroom seem so much more clear than how it felt stuffy before. My husband and I are able to sleep with a better conscience. I would recommend to buy if you live in small spaces, non-ventilated rooms, have allergies, etc.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have several Bissell products in my home including the CrossWave. I just received the Bissell My Air in the mail. I am so disappointed. The big draw to purchase it was how quiet it was during operation. I compare my unit as an airplane engine winding up. It is so loud I had to turn my TV to a much higher setting to hear it over the air purifier.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I set these up in all the rooms and instantly started feeling much better my kids live it I. Their room and the little blue light is awesome as a night light. The sound from it is kind of soothing. It's like having a fan in the room minus all the dust flying around. This was worth the price! I would definitely recommend this to my family and friends it's such a good sized air purifier. I'm very happy with this purchase
