A great set!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this security camera set installed for a week now and I am very pleased! First off, when I initially opened everything I was impressed with the overall look. When it came to installing it, I was a bit overwhelmed at first with all the pieces but after I separated it and organized the pieces it was much easier. I did not have any problems putting them up. I liked that I could see all my cameras on the screen. I was especially impressed with the quality of the night vision. I liked that each camera has a motion spot light and there is an alarm that will sound when motion is detected! The only reason I took off one star is the play back seems to be a bit laggy. Other than that I am completely satisfied.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Purchased this set but the cameras themselves have no instructions as to how you install them. Had to call tech support. Tech support could not send me them and had to escalate it. Still waiting!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this to upgrade a 1080 system and wanted the sensor lights, the lights strobe when turning on with night mode enabled, have contacted support a number of times, send videos of the issue and no replies since the initial contact who confirmed my system was setup within their specifications. Paid a premium for a feature I now cannot utilise. App also consistently loses connection and slow to startup, needs plenty of work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought the Swann Enforcer as I liked the demonstration video functions of flashing lights and a light and siren. Swann proports to be an Australian company, so that swayed me too. I bought the wired 4K version of the 'Enforcer' as I am having problems with youths in my area. Installed the system with ease. Simple to install and setup. Records whenever it detects Motion and IR (True Detect default settings), so it records me going to the garage, putting out the bins, along with people coming to the door. There is some information you need to dig into the manual to get the system setup just how you want. For instance, my Siren and Light are disabled until you enable them.
That brings me to the application. This system is sold as a Home Security System. Well, its not. Its based on a system you would use in a shop. You can only activate the Deterent functions once per day and deactivate once per day, like between closing and opening time. Admittedly, each camera is able to be scheduled independently - I haven't tried this. But, you cannot have the light only on a particular schedule and the siren on another schedule: its on or off according to the schedule. So that then brings me to the phone App.
Its designed obviously with the WiFi systems as it has settings such as "Home", 'Night" and "Away". I guess you'd have everything disarmed when Home, and Armed when Away. So What would Night mean??? But it doesn't work with my hardwired system - like I said, its ON or OFF according to the schedule - so beware if you stray into the night during the scheduled ON period, as you'll set it off and wake the neighbours.
What it needs to improve. A useful interface to start. Programming through a TV is cumbersome. I sit at a computer anc I can't connect to it on my own hardwired network. WiFi App simply only changes camera names to a pre-selected list. Its a Home Security System? so where is an easy ARMED and DISARMED button I can use when leaving my home and coming back? I read the FAQs and Swann is working on a solution, to what, I don't know as I am unfamiliar with older generation Swann devices and there is precious little information available other than the Manual.

Setting aside the challenges of crawling into the roof to pass cables, which is a requirement with any similar product, the 4K Ultra DVR Security System has been a great purchase. It is very easy to set up, it has all the functionalities I was expecting and the recording has been working very well. I fully recommend!

i've had this for a month, great DVR, the cameras look really good, the lights are in the base, and they can be turned on to come on motion or you can deactivate them. easy to set this feature up.
