Make you co-wokers happy with it

i ordered this for a co-worker who has a medical problem with dry eyes that was affecting her ability to work at the computer. She LOVES this! It not only cools off her cubicle, but it moistens the air so it is helping her dry eye problem. It has a small footprint, taking up very little space on her desk, and is powered via usb to her laptop. She also likes the easy on/off switch. A tank of water lasts about 4-5 hours depending on the level at which it is set.
This has been invaluable for her, and I'm glad I was able to help her out.

I work in a small office with no air circulation (it is in the middle of another room, so now outside windows). I have used fans historically to keep cool, but they blow my papers all around and make work difficult - plus are very loud. This little contraption is way more effective than a fan for keeping me cool, and is much more quiet and does not blow my stuff around. I still need to keep a fan around for when I have others in my office or for actually moving the air around, but this little guy makes working in my office during the summer months WAY more tolerable. Love it!

We live in a tiny apartment with my girlfriend, and, you know, this eternal confrontation between those who love it warmer and those who are always hot... Now I'm happy with my small EvaChill and no hassles ;)

All nice and cool but...

Fan is too loud for the office it was intended for. Unable to use level 2 or 3 because it’s too loud. When using the air conditioning option, the fan blows condensation. The condensation builds up on the fan vent and drips.

You won't be disappointed

Unit provides air that is a few degrees cooler and a few percentage points more humid than the surrounding air. In a 10x10 room, after a few hours, the temperature had dropped from 78 to 76 degrees (humidity was around 55% to start and ended at the same point for my test). I think rather than using this as a room cooler, it works best at low speed on a desktop in a position where you might otherwise use a small fan. That way, you get some cooling air blowing toward you without the room changing dramatically as it would with an AC unit. Because of the method utilized here, you'll get better results in more arid conditions - Phoenix or Palm Springs rather than Miami or Savannah - but you'll go through more water in those circumstances, and the reservoir doesn't quite hold enough to get through an entire night in that case.
The unit works precisely as designed - so long as you realize its limitations, you won't be disappointed.

Small, quiet and IT WORKS! I have a small cubicle workspace that is always sweltering. The Evapolar finally solved the problem so I'm not constantly sweating in my corner. I've tried a lot of other options- fans, misters, wet cloths... Nothing else even slightly as effective.
