I bought 5 units for my office, old building with no AC. We have been rather impressed with them as all units work very well, except one. It has begun leaking and we cannot get it to stop. Unfortunately we are just past the return date. Easy to use, quite, everyone loves them. They cools and moisten the air around your area, just as advertised. We will be contacting the manufacturer for troubleshooting the leak issue.

better than other similar coolers

I get horribly hot on summer nights and tend to not sleep well because of it my homes ac works everywhere except my room. So besides all the bad reviews I decided to buy it and give it a try and it’s great I keep it on my night stand next to my bed, it didn’t leak or freak out on me. I live in a city with low humidity and dry heat I believe that’s why it worked better than for others .

I have it on my nightstand and it does a great job of cooling my bed area. It's very quiet, and easy to use. To be clear though, it's for a small area.

I use distilled water and it provides cold air on my face.
It does have a light bar when turned on but I covered it with construction paper so I could sleep.
