Yes is waterproof, yes is light and small which its quite convenient when traveling but....
The display is not suitable for sunny conditions, the trigger is too slow and the app is not Android friendly

I used it, and it flooded with water in its FIRST use!
I bought it in November for a December trip, so now its not returnable!!

The description is accurate. The picture quality on the screen of the camera is very poor, but once uploaded onto a computer, the quality is great. We were able to get a few pictures out of it before water leaked in - despite it being fully sealed. Tried to dry it out, but it never turned back on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
