Stopped working after less than two winters of use

Purchased last winter, it was working well. I barely used it this year, then started to when my son had a sore throat. It’s very dry here in winter. I used it a couple nights in a row, then when I turned it on the lights turn red and it shuts itself off. I’ve tried unplugging it for awhile. The tank is full and it had brand new filter cartridges in it. It’s too late to return to the store and Homemedics was unresponsive when I emailed their customer service. For me, this item was a waste of money and frustrating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this in replacement for the older model and it stop producing mist today. This is the second time this design fails me. Contacting customer service and waiting for their response was like waiting the stars to fall. Not sure what is the next step to quickly get moisture in the house with such investment.

Had one and it worked great for about two months then it wouldn't even mist, called company they sent new one. Started it up and have used for about 1 1/2 months and now it wont work again. very frustrating.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is amazing. I’ve gone through probably four humidifiers that stopped working, cracked, or leaked all over the furniture. This one is absolutely incredible. You can tell the superiority of this product as soon as you open the box. The packaging was very secure so that you can be sure you will get a pristine product. The humidifier comes in two main pieces. The top part contains all the controls including the power, the level of misting (low medium and high) and a timer! The top also has a VERY convenient handle which is sturdy and I’ve never seen before on a humidifier. So to connect the top to the base it’s as easy as lining up the dots on the sides. The base you can take to the sink and fill up leaving the top plugged into the wall with zero drip. I love this thing. I really, really do. I am also in love with the little port with a piece padding in it that you can put any scent in! When my kids get sink I also put eucalyptus everywhere to open up their lungs. You can’t put that right into a humidifier though. This one you can put right into the port! You don’t need to buy any specific items for different scents. You can choose. You could even put lavender in just to make the room smell nice. The machine is also soundless. That doesn’t mean there’s a low hum… there is literally no sound. Like I said, once I found this I am never, ever going back to another brand. It’s unbelievable. There’s also an amazing item that filters out your hard water if you have it. It’s a small capsule about the size of your thumb that you put right into the tank. I’ve had zero build up. I have no worries or complaints about this product.

The quiality is amazing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had humidifier in the past, and it constantly leaves and I would constantly have to add more water. This humidifier does not leek and last for hours on end. There is a spot available to add essential oils and it makes my house small amazing. There are many settings to choose from for how long you want your humidifier to stay on for. And one of my favorite parts of this humidifier is that theres a setting for a light to turn on in your humidifier when it turns on. I would definitely recommend this if you’re looking for a high quality humidifier to enhance your living space.
