[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great smaller humidifier. It barely makes any noise and takes up very little room. It's very easy to fill with water and has a pretty big reservoir. It makes a lot of "steam" and comes all ready to go. I definitely recommend this for all dry seasons

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The HoMedics TotalComfort UV-C humidifier is easy to use and a great humidifier. We use it in our daughter's room during the winter when our furnace makes the home somewhat dry. It is easy to use with three mist settings and three time settings. The water tank is also easy to fill after removing the top. I have not tried the essential oil pads. It is reassuring that it uses UV-C to prevent mold and mildew.

Have used this for three weeks and it puts just enough moisture into the air to assist with temperature control. Only wish it made some kind of noise letting me know when water needs to be added although it does turn off so there is no danger.

Worked well...until it didn't

I bought this unit a year ago for use during the dry winter months. Worked fine last winter. This winter was doing ok until about three weeks ago when the "on" button turned red and the unit turned off. I have been cleaning it every time it needed cleaning (about every five nights) with the vinegar mix recommended. I have not used distilled water, but nothing indicated this was required. Unfortunately, there are no instructions on what to do when this happens. So, I throw this expensive thing away?

Good machine but hard to clean. I have to buy one every 2-3 years because you can only clean so far inside the machine and it will get moldy inside the spout and below.
