I bought this to ease dry throat while sleeping. I'm using it with a "breathe easy" essential oil. It works well enough but I wish I would have purchased a bigger model for our bedroom. It's easy to use and easy to clean.

Water gets slimy

I use a filter cartridge in the tank, but the water gets slimy after a couple of weeks in the reservoir and in the tube in the middle of the water tank. It’s very hard to clean the slime out of the tube.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Humidifier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a humidifier for my plants especially my fiddle fig ones. They require lots of humidity and my home gets quite dry in the winter months. This worked perfectly. I would fill the basin in the morning and it would last a full 24 hours on medium mist. Easy to clean too. I have recommended this to other plant people!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had other HoMedics humidifiers in my household, so I love having this one to use in my place. I am already using a humidifier upstairs, so this one is being utilized in the main room of my ground floor. It helps so much to have the visible mist working! The simplicity of the dial on the humidifier is awesome, and the chamber is pretty quick to fill. I keep it full and running all day every day. I’m glad to have such a great brand in my household.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] awesome humidifier that works great. puts out a constant fine mist of moist air. keeps the air around me humid an prevents my nose from drying out. it runs very quietly and the reservoir tanks holds plenty of water.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This total comfort ultrasonic room humidifier is great for my medium sized family room, with there being a fireplace and is having oil based heating our home gets a lot of dry heat. This helps keep everyone from having super dry skin, dry mouth, and a very dry nose while in that room.
