Best light I own and best of the four Ott light designs I own. Easy placement with the Caddy installed on the base. I like the large light head. The clip holds my instruction sheets right where I can see them, without taking up work space. The magnifier is great for fine detail work. I build models for kids stuck in the hospital. I get true color to blend seams to panels. I can work with the smallest details without straining my eyes. Had I not won a floor light and upgraded to the 3 in 1 I would buy one knowing how well it fits my needs. It is the most versital and useful of all my lights and lamps in the house!

Total game changer!

I didn't expect to love this lamp as much as I do! First off, the base is really heavy and supportive - there's no chance of this thing topping over! I've used this lamp as a floor lamp and a desk lamp. The arms bend really nicely and are easy to maneuver. I like that the magnifying lens has an extra light so you can potentially have two sources of light! The light this lamp emits is very similar to natural daylight. It's not too blue or yellow. There's no dimmer switches or light adjustment switches, it's just on or off. I use this lamp for hours a day and it doesn't get hot or smell weird. The outlet on the lamp makes me laugh. I've used it a few times and it works fine. It's kind of a weird thing to have on a craft lamp but I appreciate it being there. The only two things I didn't like about this lamp: the bulb was really hard to get in! I ended up bending the metal spokes at the top out so the bulb wouldn't scrape and hit against them and adding a folded paper towel between the glass bulb and the metal to give it some cushion while trying to install it. I bent the spokes back in place after the bulb was installed. It was really hard to plug the bulb into the base. I had to watch a youtube video to make sure I was doing it right! The videos make it look so easy but it's hard and if you do it wrong it could be a disaster. I also hated how it was packaged. It's all encased in a huge block of styrofoam. So wasteful and horrible for us and the planet!! It was a pain to clean up and dispose of. I wish OttLite would think more about their impact on the planet.
Purchased this light to do crafts! Very impressed with the workmanship and how convenient it is to use! Would highly recommend!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I’ve owned two of these lights to work my cross stitch and both have broken at the end of the flex on the magnifier light. Seems to be a weak point. It’s a good product but flawed. Looking for repair or a replacement
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thanks so much for reviewing your new OttLite lamp. Just emailed the instructions to you. If you have any questions, please email our customer service team at custserv@ottlite.com. Thank you!!
I had three-in-1 lamp sitting in the box for a few months before we finally set it up. It was set up as a floor lamp with the magnifying light. It works great! The base was much heavier than I expected, which works well to keep the lamp stable. I was darning socks and could angle the magnifying light to where ever I needed it while sitting on the couch. I already have a clamp on Ott light that I have used on my treadle sewing machine table for almost 3 decades. That is why I stayed with Ott for this 3-in-1 light.
As I have gotten older my eyesight has gotten worse and even with glasses I could no longer cross-stitch. I had all but given up on my hobby for the last 5 years. In desperation I decided to take a chance on the OttLite 3-in-1 Craft Lamp and to my utter amazement and joy I am back to stitching. The combination of light and magnification has brought my hobby back to me and I couldn't be more thrilled. The only change I would make to this lamp is to make the magnifier have a slightly longer arm so I can more easily position it directly in the middle of my body while I sit in my big comfy armchair to stitch.
