Double check the software requirement before buying product.

I could never get the drivers past my system's fire wall. It appears the software is a security risk because of other software and possible bugs embedded in the software's drives.

My mother bought this for me as a Christmas gift, and all I can say is that I have it with me everywhere as I am in school, while yes this gets the attention of others as you have a screen hanging off of your laptop. But I use this every single day all day long as it makes doing my work far better. I would defiantly suggest this to any student or someone who wants to work with better efficacy.

I bought this for my husband as an anniversary gift. He had to work from home more than I did and due to that I thought he needed double screen more than I did. Since he has gotten it he has never disconnected it from his laptop, it is now one with his laptop. It is worth the money. We were advised not to buy it from someone who never saw it or used they only read the specs. I'm glad I didn't listen. It has made my hubby home working much easier.

Just made travel a lot easier

Bought this because using one screen and trying to keep up with spreadsheets/pdfs/email is next to impossible. Add in using Teams and multi tasking a bit on the road and life gets tougher. This product did exactly what I wanted it to do. Set up was easy. There is a panel included in case you'd rather stand it up separately from laptop. I found their FAQ helpful for getting settings right on extending viewing and flipping screen. Would buy again. Thought price was on the better end of the options as well.

I just recently purchased this item and I'm loving it! I am a content creater and this monitor saves me so much time. The resolution is perfect. This screen cut my video editing in half. This item is by far my best purchase of the year. I recommend this item.

Bought 3 ALL JUNK! Save your money for a better option please read!

DO NOT BUY I purchased 3 of these now and had to return each one. They are junk!! The support sucks and no matter what you write in they send back "canned" responses most of the time have nothing to do with the actual problem. The manufacturing is cheap it feels flimsy and they brackets can bend easily if your not careful. I ended up going with a lepow it sits on the side but let me tell you its amazing!!! And no software needed I dont regret it one bit even more impressive they reached put to me a couple times after purchasing making sure I was happy and I had all the support contact information of ever needed, has a 3 year warranty AND sent me a free suprise gift in the mail weeks later. If you are even considering the mobile pixel DO YOUR RESEARCH they have hundreds if not thousands of bad reviews online the good ones I could find came off their kickstarter second monitors or nice but I would have one that works vs one that is cool that slides off the back of the laptop. My new lepow fits nicely in my bag and super light and a 15.6 screen BEWARE MEGAPIXELS IS JUNK you have been warned not its up to you. :)

Bought and returned without using it

I had high hopes for this product, but after examining it I returned it unused for the following reasons -1. The device is heavier and bulkier than I thought;2. It uses adhesives and magnets to attach to the computer, and to take it off you need to melt-off the adhesive with a hair dryer. I honestly do not want to put gunk on my computer that has to be melted off;3. The mechanism to slide the monitor out was somewhat crude. It did not slide smoothly. There was an adhesive tab glued to the monitor that presumably would help pull the monitor out, but it was like some cheap page tab you could buy at Staples;4. To get the monitor to adequately clear the computer. you needed to mount the unit "one screw" beyond the edge of the computer - a rather amateurish description, that would add size to the computer's "foot print" in my briefcase;5. Location of screen controls are too close to the plugs.I thought about keeping the unit to use as a stand - alone monitor, but the kickstand (included) was not too stable - it was rather flimsy, and the magnets did not hold at the viewing angle I prefer.I had high hopes for this product and hope the manufacturer makes improvements on the design. In looking at it again on-line, I think their competitor (Side Trak) may have a slightly better design, albeit - more expensive. I also see many stand alone lightweight portable free-standing monitors that seem to be less expensive and give you a better value for the dollar.
