Good little monitor, not a great attachment system.

EDIT: Have to revise my review some, as the monitor has been having issues staying connected and reliable. I've used both cables included, and without touching my laptop at all, I'll hear the Windows disconnect sound and then the display starts flickering (very similar behavior to when updating graphics drivers)... I extend the display, unlock the toolbar and drag it over to the second display... and when the disconnect happens, everything resets back to the default monitor every time. As said, it doesn't matter if I use the standard USB or C cable, laptop is sitting stable on the desk without being bumped or even used for several minutes, and it's struggling to stay connected. I don't know if it's the cable or drivers, but something is unstable.Overall, I like this monitor. I've been using a small 10" monitor on a kickstand to the side, but it made moving around difficult... and after a failed attempt at clipping it to the monitor itself, I was happy to find this as a new alternative. The picture is crisp, matches my laptop's native resolution and doesn't cause eye strain.My only critique is the magnet. Not that the metal plates don't stick to the laptop (because they do, if you let them set for 24-48 hours, took a fair bit of effort using a small screw driver and a grocery store club card to pry them off without damage), it's that the magnets on the monitor itself aren't very strong and I'd often find the monitor drooping down. I've instead opted to using four sets of the large 3M Command Velcro Hanging Strips (which has a weight limit of 16lbs, so I don't expect to find the monitor dropping anymore). I can't rotate it easily to the other side of my laptop without adding more strips (as the monitor is smaller, laptop is 15", so positioned strongly to the right, this was an issue with the metal plates/magnets as well), but I can easily remove and reattach it as needed.

Not optimized for USB connections, not worth the price

Great in theory but the flickering and resetting of the monitor make this a really annoying and nearly unusually product.I find myself avoiding the additional screen just to prevent being interrupted while writing. That really sucks as I bought this product in the hopes of multitasking as I would at work. I won’t even attempt presentation mode with clients as it would surely be a nightmare.I followed the installation instructions exactly and have the latest software.I’ve read online that the flickering does not happen as often with the non-USB connecting cable. This might be a problem for older machines, but my MacBook is fairly new so...Overall I would not recommend purchasing this product at this price point if you will be using a USB connection.The screen also arrived with some black marks that I can’t remove. That is also annoying but they are mostly on the edges and no where near as annoying as the flickering.I really regret this purchase.

Magnetic attachment wiped my hard drive

I had a s.5 year old laptop with a disc style hard drive instead of the more modern solid state style. I put the laptop and the screen separately into computer bag and when I arrived home, my laptop would not function. A tech said my hard drive had been wiped as if by a strong magnet. Ironically, I attached the duex to my new replacement laptop with a solid state hard drive and the magnets are ironically not strong enough to hold it securely to the back of the monitor. It kind of holds, but falls frequently.

super easy to travel with and small to fit in a back pack. The magnets to attach dont work great, but the team was nice enough to send me a stand. Also, I was having trouble settng up the screen and they spoke with me on the phone and were very very helpful!

Amazing tool to boost efficiency for business travelers

Great product and easy to use and install! I had been searching for something like this for a very long time. I frequently travel for work and the extra screen makes it so much easier and faster to get work done on the go. I highly recommend this to anyone who works frequently in Excel or needs two screens to reference material without going back and forth out of programs on one screen.

A great solution when you need a second screen!

This is great. I'm in second screen heaven. Wish I had this two years ago. I just purchased and used for several hours today. The screen is smaller than my 17inch monitor, but that is fine. I easily moved my spreadsheets and documents from one screen to the next. No issues setting up, other than I didn't read through the instructions to know how to change the display when I moved it from the left side to the right. Once I knew how to flip the display in Windows 10 it was easy to switch sides. Thank you customer support.It does require a slight overhang in order to angle the screen. With my larger laptop dusplay I had to mount four magnets to use from the left and four others to use from the right. There are plenty of magnets supplied. The magnets aren't perfect but I don't see them as a problem.I've already told others about this display. I think several colleagues will be interested. Highly recommend it.

A very functional portable monitor for laptops

I sometimes need to work with my laptop in a public library. When I work it is desirable to have two screens. In my office I have a 1440p monitor and it is large enough for multiple windows. But the laptop is only FHD resolution. With this portable monitor, I no longer need to frequently switch windows. The included mounting metal pads is a slim and useful design. The monitor flips with the laptop monitor and has another pivot for additional adjustment. When in office, I can also connect the monitor to my desktop. The package includes 12 pads, enough for three laptops. They are also replaceable with a hair drier.The packaging feels very sturdy and the seller's shipping speed is fast. I am not a Prime member but I received it within three days.
