The magnets holding it to the notebook could be a bit bigger or stronger, but other than that it's been a good second monitor...

Does not work with Lenovo Thinkpad T490s

I purchased this to use for with a Lenovo Thinkpad T490s and as soon as I connect the monitor to the back of my laptop, my entire laptop screen goes black. The magnetism in the portable monitor is too strong.

Great for dual screen users

I was given this as a gift and it’s fantastic. I use two monitors at my home and regular office. This is great for popping in a conference room or traveling where there’s no dual setup. The screen is better than the actual laptop. I would very much recommend this to anyone who uses two monitors.

Very Good Product and Works Well

Was surprised at the compactness and ease of installation. The instructions were excellent and easy to understand even for a senior, non-computer savvy person.Had it working like a charm within 20 minutes of opening the box.As a lawyer, I have found this very handy in client meetings where I find this very useful for confirming details of agreements and meeting notes with clients using the presentation feature. On the road and in the office it has been super helpful for editing complex document and contracts as I can refer to and work on several documents on a screen at the same time. The additional screen travels well and is very light weight. So far so good even though not cheap it is very good quality.

Magnets wiped erased my BIOS chip I believe.

I bought this recently. I for the first time packed it with my computer and took a 5 hour flight. The magnetic side of the DUO was facing the underside of my Dell XPS 1500 computer (not cheap) which is where the bios chip is on the motherboard.My system never started after arriving (it was on a carry on and my Dell is treated like my baby). Low and behold the dell POST failed but did throw a Diagnostic LED light sequence that the Dell Diagnostics documentation says "Recovery Image not found".So these powerful magnets, when placed in proximity of the motherboard, in my opinion turned an expensive machine into a boat anchor. I have had computers since circa 1983 (I'm a software engineer) and I'm really rocked on my heals by this!Please be cautious and help out the Amazon community and report on this! I am now shopping for a new notebook :-(

Product I got was damaged with dark spots. Functionality and design are great though.

I haven't really had time get familiar with the Portable Monitor. The box it came in came without any protection, had a few holes, shipping tap was stripped in parts. The monitors box was just sliding around in the shipping box. Once I downloaded the driver and set the magnets in place I turned on the display. To my realization there are two noticable dark spots on the monitor. Granted there are other spots that look dim but isn't as noticable. Will need to get a replacement and return to review the product once I get a new one. Overall the idea and functionality seems great, having another display so I can work on my laptop is fantastic. Had I had a good/undamaged product that I've had time to test I would most likely rate a 5.
