Great portable second display!!!!

I have been working for the 3+ months just with my laptop's monitor since my office closed for the pandemic. My workspace at home is limited and I move across different rooms and sometimes the patio.This was a challenge until I got the Duex Pro, which allows me to have a very portable monitor that was very simple to attach to my laptop.I can see that the Duex Pro will also very useful during business travels, at the airport, hotel, etc.

Just what I needed

I have a 13" Dell XPS. I love it for its small size and power, but I was lacking screen size. Adding the Mobile Pixels Dues Pro screen helped me a lot. I am able to run duel monitors and can present if I wanted to. I found I can present my Android phone as well while using the laptop as w base. Also while closed with the addition of the external monitor it's only 1.5" thick.

Very cool idea and nobody else is doing it, could have been executed a little better though.

All in all this is a bit of a game changer in regards to laptops. Awesome funcitonality and works great. Casing is a little flimsy and magnetic attachment could be a little more secure. Say a lip at the top to keep it from sliding downwards. Cable could use better management too. That being said, nobody else is making this so I'm giving it 4 stars. I would suggest this for th technophile who can trade form for function.

The monitor was easy to setup and easy to use however my 1 concern from the start was the mounting. It is magnetic however it drops when the monitor is extended. The only thing I would change is the strength of the mounting and maybe a better sliding mechanism. Overall I am satisfied but the product could be better.

Problem with the screen

I am a college student and I love being able to have two screens to work from. The problem I am having with this is there is a thin yellow line down my left side of the screen when it is powered on.

After a lot of research I ended up going with this monitor, and am very happy I did. It seems to me the primary complaint is the magnets that hold up the monitor. This in mind all I did was add one piece of stronger 3m tape to the back of each metal plate, attached per directions BUT flipped the computer upside down to apply weight to them. Oh, and prior to sticking, I cleaned the top of each laptop throughly to assure a clean surface to stick the plates too.I then proceeded to use it for over 9 hours, with my feet up in my recliner, taking breaks in the middle and never had it fall off once. I even pulled the monitor off 5 different times to show different people that came by, and had no magnet fall off.For the sake of full disclosure, I attached 4 more magnets to a second work laptop as well, this one I didnt add the extra 3m tape to test it out. So far so good there too, but will be sure to follow up here. In either case, this is great! Hats off to Jack and the team.

When I first saw this product I thought "no way." I was surprised to find out that this is EXACTLY what I need to do research and work on case briefs (currently a 2nd year law student). I took the chance, and I don't regret it. Very nice quality display and easy to install the software required for use.NEGATIVES: I don't know if its the material of my Dell Inspiron 15 lid (15.6 inch), but the four magnets on the actual 12.5 inch screen are not enough to support the screen when it's fully extended to the left/right side. When it is in 180 degree mode however the four magnets will suffice. This problem can be fixed by gluing a couple of the extra magnets in the Duex Pro box (10 Total). That works for someone like me only because I am indifferent about what side my screen is on. If you prefer more flexibility and are opposed to gluing magnets on your laptop lid then maybe don't buy this product, but besides that and an annoyingly long USB cord connection (fixed this issue with those little tie things you find on loaves of bread), this product is solid.

The instructions were excellent and the set up was easy. Once set up I just plugged it in and it worked! I love that this is portable - it is so much easier to work with two screens!
