[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This laptop is very nice, I am enjoying the new 16:10 display format. I also own a Gen 4 with a gloss display, and I have to say I prefer the gloss to the matte. The matte does reduce reflections, but it gives a somewhat milky appearance to everything. Both the gen 4 and gen 6 have the HD display, but for some reason my battery life is much worse on the gen 6 unit, I am guessing several hours less. This unit is very fast, no complaints there. It boots in seconds and handles my workload nicely (IT tasks, development). Lenovo's X1 line are some of the best windows laptops you can get for total experience. Hopefully they can work out the battery life issue, other than that its almost perfect!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my best purchase so far. The price is right for such a premium computer. The computer is fast and stable and the metal casing is sturdy and it feels premium. The 360 hinge is extremely useful when presenting to someone next to you or in front of you.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's only been a few days since I've had it, but I'm please so far. The basics are great. The keyboard isn't the classical one I'm used to. It's a bit more rubbery, but at least it's nice and quiet. The buttons on top of the right / left arrows which used to be back and forward buttons are now page down and page up. Also, the keyboard doesn't have a "break" button.
The laptop is light enough to easily be used as a tablet, although a bit heavier than a real tablet. Performance is as you would expect from the specs you picked, so I won't get into that. The screen is good, not great. The viewing angle changes the colour too much. Also, the screen smudges too easily for a tactile screen, even with clean hands.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The computer is just awesome. I was used to wait 1 or 2 seconds while my previous computer was thinking, with my new X1 even the most consuming tasks are done instantaneously. I love the design, weight and the screen itself is wonderful.
