Very impressed with this straightener

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am used to straighteners that say they will not damage your hair if you straighten while your hair is damp. They end up frying your hair. I expected the same results with this wet to straight flat iron from Remington. To my surprise, Remington has made a true wet to straight hair iron without damage! I slightly towel dried my hair so it was only damp but not dripping wet. I ran the iron though my hair once and it still made the crackling sound I was used to as well as let off a good amount of steam. Be careful. It is hot. And your hair is very hot. After a few seconds, I touched my hair and my hair was very soft and did not smell of burnt hair. My hair is on the thick side and normally, it has a wavy/curly texture. It needed two passes of the hair iron going slightly slow to be completely dry. The steam also made my hair very shiny. I did not have to use a serum or anything. Overall, I am very impressed. I did receive this to try free of charge for my honest review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have thick curly hair that come just past my shoulders. I meant it's like a hoarses Maine! I used to wash my hair and leave it sit for a couple hours so it can dry then. Straightin it but that would take hours. Not no more I litterly love this straightner Now . I simply wash and towel dry my hair, let it dry for about 15 minutes, and then begin to straighten it while it is still wet (more than damp, but not dripping wet). Keep in mind, though, this is NOT an expensive straightener and it does have its drawbacks. Here are some tips to make sure your expectations aren't too high:
1. You MUST brush your hair continuously while you are straighten it or it will dry curly Straighten a few pieces and then brush it out and continue. Also helps to section hair into three sections, letting a new layer of hair down only when the bottom one is completely dry.
2. You have to pass the straightener over each section of hair about 3-7 times, depending on how thick your hair is. Do not do this continuously over the same section. I like to move from the left side of my head to the right and then repeat until all the hair is dry. This gives the moisture on your hair time to evaporate and the hair time to cool down before hitting it with another blast of steam and heat.
3. This will not necessarily save you any time. It takes me just as long to blow dry first and then straighten as it does to use this tool on my wet hair. However, the results are better for me with this straightener because I don't have the issue of curly hair in the back of my head.
4. If you hear the straightener sizzling, do not worry! It always sizzles for me on the first pass if my hair is a little too wet when I start. I recommend letting your hair dry until it is no longer dripping with water before starting to straighten.

If your hair isn't incredibly thick and you have a hard time straightening it when it is dry, then I highly suggest this straightener. Not as a time-saver, but because you will get better results. The straightener is also much higher quality than what I was expecting, so you definitely get your money's worth! I recommend a good-smelling heat protectant with this product to spray before you begin straightening, as it does smell a little funny after your hair dries (as is common after straightening with any other straightener).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love the Remington wet 2 straight it is the only brand I will buy. Works great on both wet and dry hair. I love it so much I have the fat and the skinny one. I've recommend only this brand to people looking to buy straighteners . I do not recommend using the highest setting it's not good for your hair unless you have the proper hair protection sprays. The wet 2 straight is so easy to use even my younger sister uses it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Remington Wet to Straight 2inch flatiron fro free for my honest opinion...I was really skeptical when I received this flatiron, I didnt see how it could work without damage to my hair...but I was truly impressed with the ease of straightening my wet hair. It heated up quickly and my hair was dry and straight within minutes. Not only did it save me time, my hair looked great. Simply amazing!!

I have very wavy hair that gets very dry & damaged from blow drying and straightening. With this straightener I could skip the blow drying. The wide head is great for those of us with very wavy or curly hair.
