Pleasantly Surprised!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this wet to straight flat iron from Remmington for a few months now. To give you some persepctive I have 10+ hair straighteners. I know seems a bit excessive but the majority of them I purchased with high hopes and they didn't measure up so now they sit in a drawer. I was pulled in by the idea of a wet to dry straightener! I honestly had low expectations considering how many flops I own. But I was pleasantly surprised to find that was not the case this is a quality hair straigetener. I love it so much that I have started using it as my primary every day use straightener. I have quite wavy, tangled and sonetimes frizzy hair but this straigetener works great! I even use it on my daughters hair on the lower settings and it works even better on their hair types. I have already told my friends about this product but I wanted to come on here and give Remmington props for a genuinely good product!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Decent hair straightener

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was hyped to try it thinking I'd save time not having to blow dry my hair. Using it while my hair was damp made my hair frizz and feel coarse even with product and heat protectant. I gave up and just blew dry my hair and turned the setting back to dry instead of wet and used it. It works great as just a normal straightener.

So disappointed

I've had the straightener about 6 weeks and it just died....tried other outlets, nothing. Revlon: Stick to manufacturing cosmetics..

Not hot enough

I bought this to replace another Remington flat iron that quit after several years use. This one was available at my local store and I needed one immediately so I bought it. Unfortunately, this one doesn't function nearly as well as my old one and I will probably end up ordering a different model online. I'm hoping the next model up is closer to what I had because that flat iron was fantastic. This one just doesn't get hot enough and doesn't get the same results.

Very impressed with this straightener

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am used to straighteners that say they will not damage your hair if you straighten while your hair is damp. They end up frying your hair. I expected the same results with this wet to straight flat iron from Remington. To my surprise, Remington has made a true wet to straight hair iron without damage! I slightly towel dried my hair so it was only damp but not dripping wet. I ran the iron though my hair once and it still made the crackling sound I was used to as well as let off a good amount of steam. Be careful. It is hot. And your hair is very hot. After a few seconds, I touched my hair and my hair was very soft and did not smell of burnt hair. My hair is on the thick side and normally, it has a wavy/curly texture. It needed two passes of the hair iron going slightly slow to be completely dry. The steam also made my hair very shiny. I did not have to use a serum or anything. Overall, I am very impressed. I did receive this to try free of charge for my honest review.
