Worst Coffee Maker Ever

Bought this for convenience after using AeroPress for years. From day one, it splatters, coffee is not hot, has two ridiculous choices of settings of 8 or 14 ounces neither of which fit a typical coffee mug, and does not make a good cup of coffee. Tried to return but if not defective as determined by Hamilton Beach they return the machine to you at your expense. So much for keeping the customer happy. Last time Hamilton Beach. Try to find something else. Do not recommend.

Water is in reservoir and yet a click starts Drizzle of water and then the red light flashes and then turns off. Water is in reservoir.

Grounds everywhere!

I bought this so I could get the option of a "bold" brew without using a Keurig. Instead, I get a machine that spews out coffee grounds all over my countertop, coffee cup and into the coffee. There should be a LID for the "grounds catcher" (ironic, because it does NOT catch grounds). Returning.

Makes a decent cup of coffee but randomly leaks/sprays everywhere. All the plastic parts are a turn-off. Returning.

No lid for grounds

While the scoop basket concept is good, there's now lid for it and the grounds get all over the inside of the holder and the lid of the coffee maker. It's a hot mess afterwards and a pain to have to wipe all out after ever use. Make a lid for the scoop and problem solved. Returning this item.
