Wish it performed as good as it looks

Had high hopes this would be my go to heater, after receiving I followed the start up directions. 16 hours later it still hasn’t heated a 100 square foot room. Can barely feel the air blowing a foot away from it very disappointed ☹️
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's a good product, but needs to be pumped up a notch

I love the Vornado brand and products, I don't think I would purchase a different brand when it comes to fans. I own both space heater fans, but I think that this one needs to be pumped up a notch to make a clear difference between one and the other in efficiency and power. I used this one to heat up a food truck while I worked inside and it took a long time to warm up the space. I think it needs both, more rpm's and a hotter coil.

I've owned Vornado heaters for years, my 21-year old model is still doing a great job in my bedroom after all these years.
These units do not run or heat like infrared space heaters. They gently circulate air at a few degrees above the room temperature to slowly and steadily increase the room's temperature.
I own a Velocity 5 as well, and it works great in my TV room.
This "workshop" version is based on the same principle, but the velocity of air is three or four times faster than my other units and it heated my basement workshop (usually the coldest room in the house) like a charm last night. Due to the faster air flow it makes more noise than my other two, but its not an issue in a shop environment. I'll be trying it tonight in my uninsulated two car garage workshop (expected low of 19 degrees this evening) to see how it does there, but I'm confident it will do fine.
I do wish that it had a thermostat feature as an alternative to just running continuously all the time, but in the cold of the garage it would probably run full time anyway. I don't expect the garage to be 75°, I find that it's easy to work in mid 50's to lower 60's temperatures in the shop as opposed to 35 or 40 degrees.
Great products and customer service in my opinion, next time I need one, I'll buy Vornado.

Barely Blows

I was very excite to see that Vornado made a shop heater. Bought it without hesitation. Needed a good heater for my garage during cold nights for my dog. Turned it on in my garage on a night that the temperature got down to 35F. When I turned it on, I was expecting a nice hard breeze, to my disappointment it barely blew at all. I had to check to make sure I had it on high, which there is only 1 setting. I have a thermometer in my garage and it heated by garage 5 degrees during the 9 hours it was running. My portable radiator heater heats the garage 10-15 degrees during the night. Just disappointed in the performance I expected from Vornado.

No-good

Very disappointed, Bought this heater because my potable space heater (17years) old, was loosing its blowing power. Very disappointed, my old one (17 yeas old) still blows more then this one.
Very disappointed hope a lot of people don't buy this

Let this product cycle the air in your garage a few times, & you will be amazed. It is not designed to blow scalding hot air right out of the gate, but to cycle warmer air many times over. We have this in our garage / golf simulator area… & it is fantastic!!!
