[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great laptop for the price. Screen is sharp, fine lines don't bleed, and the touchscreen sensitivity is spot on. About a 10 second boot with no optimizations from cold.
Lt was received quickly, which is what was desired, despite the actual lag time for a lt with the settings I was really looking for ( a big difference between 7 days and 4 months). Construction-wise, seems flimsier and more fragile than previous think pads I am more used to. Time will tell if it is a suitable replacement, but sofar signs point to yes, provided I can acclimate to all the garbage that the OS is pushing (not a huge fan of the direction MS is going).

I already posted a review at 2 stars and got the generic Lenovo response - I'd update it but they won't let me so here it is:
This was advertised as a $2700 machine - after 60 days I wouldn't pay $200 for this thing.
This is the worst computer I've bought in the last 25 years hands down. The case creaks and groans because it's so flimsy. Just typing sounds like I'm walking around a 200 year old house. The keyboard is terrible - it misses keystrokes 1 out of 20 strikes so it takes much longer to go back and correct. The keyboard lighting is awful and unpredictable. The touch pad and "buttons" are poorly located and only function most of the time - they lock up repeatedly.
The Dolby sound system is Awful!
The battery life seems to be decent as is the speed but I have no hope of the actual physical machine lasting more than 6-12 months without falling apart. My last laptop, a Dell, still works after 10+ years. I have no confidence in this machine. It might be the cheapest computer I've ever used - no, it IS the cheapest computer.
I wish I could return this. The $500 Lenovo my S/O purchased is 10 x sturdier than this thing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, I have enjoyed this ThinPad. It is my fourth ThinkPad laptop in the last 20 years. I need to report one probelm though. Since I got the laptop the left and right mouse buttons and the track ball have locked up three times, causing me to reboot.
This is the best computer I have ever purchased. Worth every cent. Set up with a breeze, quick, easy without computer jargon; made it easy for me to get started right away.
