[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the onlything does not meet my request is that the response speed. my previous x1 purchased 5-6 years ago is till working fast.
I have the Storm Grey model. While it's not as light as the X1 Carbon, it's light enough; has a great keyboard with wonderful tactile feedback (which was the primary reason I bought it, as so many laptops have crappy keyboards); and surprisingly decent sound from its upward facing speakers.
So far the only downside I've seen is that I can't get the backlit keyboard to turn on, and the fingerprint sensor doesn't recognize my fingerprint most times I try using it. Otherwise, it's a great machine.

Not So Great

After warranty ran out; one hinge cracked, power cord broke, could use more ports, the "y" key pops up, and sound is low even when set at highest level.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
