Nice faux leather. Well protected by transpo carton. Easy assembly was simply to screw in the feet; no screwdriver required. However, it is not all that easy to open the lid as there is no loop or recessed finger hole to grab.

This looks great in my bedroom and has a lot of storage space. The hinge makes it easy to place items in and take them out.
