The ExpertBook B5 OLED is the best business laptop I've owned in years. It is light, attractive and very well built. I've got the 11-Gen i5 with 16 GB of RAM and it is impressively fast for my primary work as a software developer. The OLED screen is wonderful. The colors pop and the text is so crystal clear that I'm able to work at a lower page zoom than is usual for me. The keyboard and track pad are excellent. The upgrade to Windows 11 was totally painless and took less that 30 minutes.
I have only two minor complaints:
First, the 2 USB-C ports are both on the left side which can be awkward if the electrical outlet is on the other side. Battery life is so good that this isn't too serious an issue.
Second, the glass track pad turns into an illuminated numeric keypad if you touch its upper-right corner for 1 second and off if you touch there again. This is a truly clever solution if you need to use a numeric keypad on a laptop. I don't. It's too easy to turn the feature on by accident, which then results in streams of digits within whatever you were typing. ASUS needs to provide some means of disabling the functionality for those of us who do not need it.
I would recommend this to a friend!
