Really does the job

We just cleared an entire corner of my fence. The neighbors trees overhung quite a bit causing no sun to my yard, so my son in law who doesn't like electric tools was amazed at it's performance. The chain held up with only one adjustment to tighten it a little bit. We cut a pile like 10X10X8. The reach was just great, and a stepladder took us to boundaries we just could not reach. So happy I bought this Sun Joe. This is a tool every home owner should have, and they will love it.

I am so happy with this purchase! I have used it to cut multiple limbs so far. It cuts well, and was easy to assemble. The chain was zip-tied to the bar, so it made it where it was a breeze to put it on. When I read the reviews before purchasing it, one reviewer mentioned she has no problem using it despite being a senior lady. And with my being in the same" category", I found that was true for myself too. I did not try using it extended, but doubt that I could safely use it that way, as more upper body strength would be required. This has the feel of solidity of a well made tool.

I am so impressed with the job my new Sun Joe electric pole chain saw did. It is not too heavy and did an awesome job removing all the branches I wanted removed from my camphor tree. Great price, well made product. Love it.
This product is excellent for what it was intended to do. For small timing jobs, hard to reach branches etc. One must use this sparingly for anything else as it only has an 8 inch bar and the saw teeth are far apart.I don't think this type of chain will maintain sharpness with non trimming use. Use loping shears or a real chainsaw for cutting up the branches. While it is good, don't overdue the electric motor. I seriously question it can take extended use on heavier thick material very long without burning out the motor. I cut Walnut and Oak maybe max 3 inches thick.
I can’t believe I was using a manual pole saw for so long. This tool is incredible. So inexpensive, lite weight and easy to clean. Bought it through amazon on sale. Love it.
Product did all I needed it to do once I figured out the chain was on backwards. The only ongoing complaint I have, and not sure there is a solution, is the pole saw is heavy and hard to balance when extended more than 2 feet. If I were 40 it may not matter but being 72, it matters. I did get a lot of trimming done including bushes that had not been trimmed for the 16 yrs. we've been here because I had no way to reach them. The saw more than paid for itself in the 3 days I've used it!
I was surprised at how good this trimmer works and cuts. I have only cut 30-4" branches but no issues to report. I empty oil after use to keep from leaking.
