Product is well made with durable materials. Quiet operation and easy cut. I found the angled cutting head to be best. Saw is heavy but I don't know that it is heaver than competitors.
I didn't know what to expect when I bought this trimmer guess you could say for the price I wasn't expecting much. Boy was I wrong this trimmer is the real thing it cut my tree limbs like butter easy to handle I will be looking for other Sun Joe products in the near future.

My New J802E Pole Saw is Amazing!

I’ve had my 802E about a week now, and having a blast and saving $$$ with it. I’m amazed at how SOLID it is, how well made – they didn’t skimp. Suggest taking it slow, learn all the parts, and plan what you’re doing, and you’ll have Fun! I have a lot of “hedges” that have decided to turn into full-blown trees and have been trying to take over my yard. I my max cut is in the 3” range; this thing goes thru them like butter. Here are the things I have learned: 1. Keep the Blade cover in your left pocket, so when you’ve cut a big limb, immediately cover the blade so dirt gets on it when you lay it down. 2. I always lay it down with Oil Cap UP, that way I don’t go thru the deal of emptying after each session. I actually think they’ve added a little O-ring to the cap, because the couple of times I let it turn over by mistake, it didn’t leak like people said in older comments. I’m still not going to take any chances, and always keep the cap UP. 3. I DO get up on my 9’ ladder to reach high places – gotta do what you gotta do – plan carefully and be careful, and all’s OK. 4. No problem with the cord plug – just tie a quick 8 loop – so easy. 5. Man, this thing cuts clean and fast – ziiinnnngggggg, done! 6. I don’t use the “decorative cap” - easier to quickly loosen the guide bar to adjust (usually tighten) the chain, and then re-tighten the nut. I don’t need any decorations with my 803E. 7. I WISH: that Oil level window was a CLEAR plastic. I’m ½ color-blind and can’t see the oil level at all. I just tap it off every once in awhile so it doesn’t go low. 8. Oh, it def. has some weight to it – I just take it easy, zip thru a couple of limbs, stop for cleanup, and then carefully plan and do another set. By then your arms have rested! I love my 802E. It’s incredible.
Performs very well, easy to maintain. I'm 72 and am able to use it, but don't use it like I used it. I did most of my work on an eight foot step ladder which is not recommended by the manufacturer but I didn't have any problems except getting a little arm weary. The saw isn't that heavy but when you extend it fully it sure feels heavier then eight pounds. I did all of my sawing with the saw straight not bent. I would rest the saw on the branch to be cut to take the weight off of my arms, then elevate the saw an inch or so, start it up, then down to cut.
