My 84 year old mother bought the Snow Joe power shovel to clear a path from the house to the mailbox. I was there this past weekend and it snowed. The snow was about 4" deep and this unit did throw it about 20 feet. I was quite impressed! Her driveway is about 35-40' wide so I started in the middle and blew the snow to each side. She has an open style fence on both sides of the driveway which becomes a problem when multiple snowfalls occur in a short period of time as the snow eventually has to picked up (with a manual shovel) and thrown over the existing snow banks. With the Snow Joe, it throws the snow over the fence and there are no snow banks to contend with. I would estimate her driveway is 1000-1200 sq. ft. I was able to clear the whole driveway on 1 battery charge but I could tell the battery was weaker about 1/2 way thru the job. I did find out that its better to do a path about 8' long and not push the shovel for 20' strips. Doing it in the longer 20' strip, the snow will partially blow on the area just cleaned requiring that area to be redone. It would be nice if this unit could throw the snow at a 10-15* angle to avoid this. The other thing I noticed was the motor smelled like it was getting hot. Will have to see how long it last.

So far the product has worked well except in wet snow. Biggest problem is that I had to adjust cable by taking unit apart. I believe this unit should be built so customer does not need to disassemble unit prior to use.

Well constructed, easy to handle and use. Stores easy too. Very powerful! I wish it had come with a larger capacity battery, but it works well with the one furnished. I did buy an extra battery after the fact so I could use it for a longer amount of time.

The product works great with powdery snow on the deck of my cottage. I do not expect to buy a brand new product and have to take out 5 screws to open it up to push the cord into the casing because the cord is too long. Luckily i googled it and found numerous posts on the same problem. I am handy but I cant imagine my wife or an elderly patient being able to fix this. Hence the 4 star rating.

This cordless shovel works as advertised, and made its way through a wet 6-inch snow with relative ease. However, assembling it was an unforeseen challenge requiring the finessing of the cord inside the handle tubing in order to get the handle put together. Suggestion: give this unit a single tube instead of two. Otherwise, a good purchase!
