Easy to use for a beginner, good quality

I looked at a bunch of reviews before buying my first dash cam and am happy with this one. I wanted front + back coverage, ability to read license plates, and simple setup - this cam meets those expectations. Getting video is as simple as taking out the sd card and uploading to the computer. I also like how you can set the time, timezone, length of video clips, and erase data to open up storage right on the dash cam itself (it's very intuitive).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Frustrating waste of money

Camera was ok but stopped working after 5 months. Thought it was the power cable and had it replaced. Still didn’t work properly.
The App is terrible even if you can get it to work. Takes for ever to upload photos. Updated my phones IOs and it won’t connect anymore. The My Gekogear App hasn’t been updated in 3 years. Check all the reviews on the App Store before buying.

Solid Dashcam

Bought the dashcam a few years ago. Works fair as to what you're promised. Only things I can say are bad about it is download speed of videos and a glitch where you have to click the menu option to format the SD card or the dashcam keeps shutting off. Other than that, audio, video quality(even at night), and setup work great. The pack comes with a pair of replacement adhesive pads so when I switched the cameras from vehicle to vehicle I didn't have to worry about buying any. Overall solid dash cam.

Bought this jun 2024. Got hit by another car recently, took out the SD card and it was NOT RECORDING for the last entire MONTH. This is just pointless ewaste. garbage of a product. avoid at all cost
