My son is 7yrs old and this is perfect for keeping him busy. Him and his cousin have spent all weekend testing which cars are able to make it around the track and into the gorillas mouth. Would definitely recommend if your child likes cars and like a to have a challenge.

Great toy! The instructions are quite small and would benefit from being larger. However all pieces are clearly labelled so really clear what order to click together, really good click and secure once pushed together. Great you and been played with lots by my 7,6 and 3 year old.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A fun Hot Wheels playset

Our two boys aged six and nine absolutely love the Hot Wheels Toxic Gorilla Slam playset which has been a great addition to connect up with the other Hot Wheels city track sets which they already have.
The packaging in which it comes is attractive and colourful and accessing the toy is simple and effortless. I also like that the packaging is minimal so there isn't too much to dispose of and can easily be recycled.
Although there are quiete a few pieces which require assembling the instructions are simple and easy to follow making assembling this toy simple. All track parts are labeled clearly and just click into place securely, it only took us ten minutes to assemble if that.
All pieces of the playset are of a high quality plastic and when put together the playset is sturdy and durable, it holds up to our heavy handed six year old just fine.
Our boys find this playsets theme exciting, they love the toxic gorilla threatening to slam the truck with their cars into the gas station and tire repair workshop and love playing together to defeat the gorilla. The adjustable launch lever allows them to chose which track they will use to attack the gorilla from. Now the launch lever does seem to be a little tough and takes a little force to be able to launch the car, on several ocassions our six year old has struggled compared to our nine year old when using it but thankfully it's durable enough to withstand the force on him hitting it without concern for it breaking.
As well as the stunting action the boys really like the light and sound aspect of the playset in particular how the lights change colour the more angrier the gorilla gets and the sound of the gorilla burping if you accidently land your car directly into his mouth, they find that absolutely hilarious.
Now I must admitt that the playset wasn't as big as I envisaged when it was all connected together, however once it was connected up with other sets it really did not matter. Its also worth noting that this Hot Wheels city set is not compatible with all Hot Wheels cars, it's only compatible with the 1:64 scale cars of which this set comes with one.
So our overall opinion, its a great toy that's fun, colourful and durable which has bought hours of fun for our two younger boys which we highly recommend to any Hot Wheels fans out there.
