Kids loved it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two boys ages 4 and 7 and they absolutely loved this hot wheel set! We have had it set up in our play room for about two weeks now and it has been played with daily. Assembly was fairly easy however the directions were not the most clear (the black tabs on the tire part of the set go on the outside!) and once it’s put together, it does not come back apart, which is great for younger kids who get frustrated with the tracks coming apart and with lining up the angles just right for jumps. We had no issue with it but this toy does make crude noises such as burping and chewing, so just be aware if you are not someone who wants to hear that. The sound does turn off but the sound was a favorite feature of my kids.

Very cool… but

I bought this toy for my son and after putting it together, we went to add the truck and there’s bo piece that connects it to the set, so it’s very hard for my 4 year old to get it to work. Can’t find anywhere to get a replacement
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a great toy. My son loves playing with it. However within a month of purchasing it, the gorilla will no longer keep his arms up. It doesn't matter how gently you try to stand them up, they won't stay.
It was a great toy while it lasted, but now is useless because they can't use the gorilla portion.

Fun Sounds!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this toy in exchange for my honest review. I was lucky enough to get this put together while my son wasn’t home. It took me about 35 minutes to put the stickers on and click everything into place. The pieces are nicely labeled, which is helpful. It says to replace the batteries for use, but I didn’t have any LR44 and it seems to be making all the noises it is suppose to. The launcher can be positioned three different routes. Both my son and I have trouble taking down the gorilla using the left or right path, but the middle path works almost every time to either get the car in the gorillas mouth or send him backwards. The funny noises it makes when this happens is my sons favorite part. He has gone back to this toy quite a few times and hasn’t gotten frustrated with it like he has other Hot Wheels toys. My only real complaint it that just like other car play sets, it’s hard to store it without taking it apart and even then I haven’t figured out a good way to keep pieces together.

A supercool addition to Hotwheels City!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 6 year old sons looooooved this set! They say it is cool and fun ! Of course it is great that it connects to all their other track sets but the ramps and details of all the features on this set are great. Especially the cab of the truck being the launcher and the gorilla holding the trailer of the truck. The big hit is the gorilla and the fact that you can defeat him 3 different ways and he has different reactions depending on your level of success launching the car. The boys love all the lights and sounds and launchers. This was a hit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We absolutely LOVE this set!! My little one got a little scared, at first, when the toxic gorilla slammed down and roared, but it was all good!! They love it now and can't get enough of it!! I do too and so does sister!! It was very easy to put together, but you do have to follow the instructions, step by step, and all pieces are practically lettered. The launcher really works too. I know, I've had sets for my oldest and my brother had them as well, & those cars never seemed to make it around those tracks, but they do on this set!! Hours of fun, for sure!! : )

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Hot Wheels Toxic Gorilla Slam a couple weeks ago. Hot wheels never fails to make things interesting for the kids. All the lights and sounds are awesome, the kids played with this for hours. Watching and waiting for the gorilla to try and smash the cars was exciting and very entertaining. Great features and very well made.
