Poor microphone quality

Bought the GP9 mainly for video conferencing. With the built-in mic array and echo cancellation I had high hopes that it would be the perfect "speaker phone" with high quality audio as a bonus. Unfortunately the microphone is crap. People tell me it sounds like I'm talking through a piece of paper. And in my own test I noticed that if I talk with a high pitched voice it is able to properly record the audio, but as soon as my voice is a little lower (as it normally is) it filters my entire voice away. That's just crazy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like that it's versatile and compatible to be used with a PC, gaming console and your mobile phone because it has a USB-C port, optical port and has bluetooth. All the ports are in the back and are covered so no dust or dirt can get in them. It has a built-in microphone with echo-cancelling as well so you don't need gaming headphones as well as the speaker. It has a long battery life of 5 hours so you can play longer and can be charged with the power adapter that's included. It has great sound that fills the room for such a small speaker. All of the buttons are on the top and are easy to use. I love that it's portable because you can use it in any room or even take it with you on the go. It's lightweight and compact which makes it easy to take from place to place or room to room. Ours has been used in the living room and bedrooms for gaming and music and my son even took it in the bathroom while he was showering and getting ready for work. It also has customizable RGB lighting so you can make it your own. I think it's a little expensive for what it is. With it being portable, a carrying case would've been nice to have been included.

The RGB lights look great and add to the anesthetic if you already have other RGB products. Setting up the speaker is easy enough as it can be easily connected through Bluetooth. The sound quality is awesome! You can become easily immersed while playing your favorite games. Highs and lows sound great and the volume can be easily control by the device itself or the computer. I wasn't sure that the speaker could produce such a great sound but I'm glad to say I was pleasantly surprised.

It has multiple connections ( USB, Optical and Bluetooth) you have the ability to connect a headset to it and there is a button it toggle it on and off. It also has a microphone which actually works well with conference calls. It has to preset equalizer modes and a third one which lets you customize it via the LG BOOM app. Those are the features
In terms of functionality, this pairs perfectly with a laptop. you get great sound from a portable device. I wouldn't use to to replace my regular desktop speakers but this is a stable to my laptop where i can get portability and great sound
