We really appreciate you letting us know about your positive customer service experience. We are sorry to hear you are experiencing some issue with the battery/charger. Here is some information related to battery charging issues:
False defect readings. This can occur if the charger has been left plugged into the outlet. Simply unplug the charger, wait one minute, plug the charger back in and try to reinsert the battery. If you are still experiencing a red flashing light, unplug the charger again, move it to a different location, plug the charger back in and reinsert the battery.
Battery too warm. If the battery was recently used or too warm it will not charge. Allow it to cool before attempting to recharge.
Battery alignment. Battery misalignment is a common issue that can occur. It's easy to incorrectly align the battery and not realize it. Check to make sure there are no gaps and that the battery and charger are correctly seated. Slide the battery all the way down ensuring there are no gaps. We hope this information was helpful.

I have this blower and like it so much I bought this one as a Christmas gift got my daughter-in-law!
In addition, I have your mower, power washer, and your edger. All these tools are great!
My only suggestion would be to make the 5AH battery an option for all these battery powered tools.
