Poor Clunky Top-Heavy Design

Really disappointed with the design on this Greenworks product. It's very top-heavy - almost unusable at full length. It has a 3-piece shaft which suggests lots of lengths available, but in the end, the only option is full length, or removing the center section to reduce a couple feet. Even this sounds easier said than done - the interface between the sections is poor, requiring delicate work to get them assembled and brute-force to pull them apart. Highly impractical to adjust length in the field. It's so unwieldy I actually couldn't find ANYthing in my yard to trim with it. Very disappointing. I'm going to find a telescoping pole-saw that is infinitely (and easily) adjustable and has better balance with more weight at the hilt and much less at the tip - even if I have to go corded or gas-powered.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Handy polesaw. I use an 8mah battery from my mower so I never have to recharge until I'm done.
I've cut through a lot of branches and the chain is still cutting like a champ. I think it helps save the chain that the length keeps me from pressing down but it still glides right through every limb.
The extension makes it super easy to reach high limbs and even cut through big piles of smaller diameter limbs. My new house came with a very large pile against the shed that was quick to make manageable for the burn pile since I couldn't burn it where it was.
Obviously the extra length makes it a little wobbly and awkward for older people like me while raising it to the branch but once you've got it up there it's great.

Second year of owning and I have no trouble asking my grown kids to use it . They enjoy using this cutter . It’s balaced well and very simple to use .

I use this tool every few days for my personal business. Battery stamina is awesome. I can use it on projects all day. I put this pole saw through some seriously rough jobs & it has never let me down. For the price point you cannot beat this product.

More cutting power than expected

Before buying I received advice from a friend who had one. I am very pleased with it and really surprised by the power. I can cut just about anything it can reach. And, the chain has held up well and remains sharp after lots of use. I highly recommend!

I am very pleased with my purchase. I already have the 60V lawn mower, string trimmer, and blower, so this was a no brainer. The pole saw is heavy duty and had no problems ripping through some dead branches in my 50 foot tall tree. I am impressed with the quality too. I had a tree limb spin on me when I was cutting it and it pinched the blade and the chain. I was afraid it was going to break my new pole saw but I was able to secure it and free the heavy limb with a hand saw. The pole saw has a great reach but can be a bit heavy when your arms are outstretched. Overall, very satisfied and would recommend the brand to my friends.
