This little saw is tough. When you don't hear the loud sound you think it's not got much power. But blade is very strong and took care of everything I wanted.

Well designed and much more powerful than expected. Having the adjustments so the battery counter-balances the saw is helpful. There's always going to be limited reach, but the light weight and balance makes any reach possible. We are sharing a battery with another tool and charging is fast.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Greenworks pole saw cuts very well and the battery time is plenty for most jobs. The adjustable length is very handy too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased the telescoping 60V pole saw to go with my other 60V tools. Works fantastic and I like that it can be adjusted to different lengths, based on what I am working on. 👍

Chain falls off constantly

I've owned this saw for three months and I've used it several times. However, the chain comes off the bar constantly and the set-screw to tighten the chain is nearly impossible to use. The placement of the screw is inconvenient and difficult to tighten as a result. Once tight, the chain works for about 6 to 10 cuts, then the chain falls off, damaging the plastic housing each time. Do not buy this tool if you need to work rather than tinker with tools.

Hello JasonB
Thank you for sharing your experienced. Chainsaw chains can come off due to multiple reasons such as worn-down bars, worn-down sprockets, and wrongly set chain tension. Please check the chain tension and condition of all parts prior to using. If anything is worn or damaged, replace the parts before using again. Replace the bar if: • the groove is not fit with the height of the drive links (which must never touch the bottom). • the inside of the guide bar is worn and causes the chain lean to one side. Should you require further assistance, please contact Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline at 1-855-345-3934.

Expensive saw with the vital parts, chain and bar, under par

Stay away from this one. The chain came off the bar numerous times. This happened even after adjusting the tension multiple times. To make it worse, the chain is a 1/4" pitch where as other brands all use a 3/8", so hard to find a compatible chain even at manufacturer website. They sell this chain at a premium price. The bar and chain are not covered under any warranty. I wanted to return for store credit but being outside the one month return period, the manufacturer was not willing to make any concessions. To me this pole saw is a poor design. Looks like a good product, but looks can be deceiving.

Very light duty but I works. I guess it needed 2 screws to hold the bar

Chain came off at least 5 times in first 30 minutes. It has only 1 stud holding the bar in place. It might work better with 2 studs. I tried tensioning the chain more loose and more tight - the best I could do was tighten it then drop back 1/2 turn on tensioner screw. I like that it has a long pole and has the battery in the base part so the chainsaw part isn't too heavy. It is pretty light duty.

Hello DougG123,
Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you have experienced an issue with the chain not staying on. New chains tend to stretch; so be sure to check the chain tension frequently and tension as required. However, be sure to never tension a warm chain before storing as chains shrink when cooling and this can damage the chain, bar, and saw. Please ensure that when you remove the side cover that the following parts are there and in order: sprocket (chain wheel), chain wheel washer, and finally the c-clip/retaining ring. These parts are imperative when it comes to keeping the chain on. If you notice any of these parts missing or you are still experiencing issues, please kindly visit our website and use the customer contact page to send us a message or give us a call at 1-888-909-6757, we would be happy to assist you with this matter!
